Goddamn society snobs severely suck as human beings.

We don't want our property values dropping by attracting some..."undesirables", now do we?

Wow.

They still have libraries with physical books in them?

It's the job of the Hamptons' ruling bodies to keep the Hamptons as blatantly classist as possible. That's what people up there elect, and that's what they pay for.

Just like it's the job of every elected and appointed official in Delaware to make themselves as pro-corporate as possible. Somebody has to win the race to the bottom, and Delaware's decided that it's going to be them.

Sounds like it's time for a class war.

Let's face facts. Poor people are uneducated dull-witted criminals. Anything which keeps them out of our communities is a good thing.

Slugs like this would've turned away Abe Lincoln when the poor kid walked a mile to read a book.

Of course, libraries are socialist/collectivist institutions. Common ownership of books. Oooohh. Scary.

Property is theft. The people should just seize all of those beach estates for the common good.

At least this will keep the damn jigaboos out of the neighborhood. My father didn't spend his hard earned bonus on a vacation home to have the criminal element walking within sight of proper people.

God help us if the lower classes try to learn to read.

How are you going to keep the Spics out? The lawn and pool aren't going clean themselves?

I know a swim club in Montgomery County that this person would love

The funny thing is, that the 'lower class inflow' against which they're stalling, are probably people that make more money still, than an ordinary bloke would see in a lifetime.

This guy part of ALA? Drum him out if so.

The [American Library] Association advocates funding and policies that support libraries as great democratic institutions, serving people of every age, income level, location, ethnicity, or physical ability, and providing the full range of information resources needed to live, learn, govern, and work.

It was done by Bomani D'mite. Very good artist in my opinion, though this was 'controversial' because apparently BET thinks that when you get angry at the modern hip hop genre (and partially BET) for being culturally watered and dumbed down, you're attacking black america.

This is worse than when we gave a membership to a minority at the tennis club. I'm used to them carrying my tennis bag, or parking my Aston Martin, but this was just uncivilized.

You might want to visit the library yourself and polish those reading comprehension skills; the headline and the article says the ZONING BOARD is refusing to grant the permit for the expansion. The director is actively trying to get it passed.

What does is say that there must be at least a dozen states with a county named Montgomery, but we all automatically know which one you're specifically referring to?

Speaking as a third generation Islander I gotta affirm this. The local government out that way does everything it can to make it as inaccessible as possible and thus keep it an island of the rich. They've been pulling this kind of shiat for decades.

It's only cool to educate poor peoples when you need resume padding. It also makes for decent 'safari stories' to regale one another with while war zone hopping for kicks enlightenment.

Man, I can't wait 'til I become rich. I'm pretty light skinned and whitewashed as far as Mexicans go, but I felt like an ugly smelly beaner next to some of these rich folks who've never so much as strolled through their own yards. And having a black wife would certainly bring up many a uncomfortable conversation.

The director said he was floored by a request from board members for a breakdown of li brary cardholders by commu nity. The query, he said, sig naled a concern about the types of children who might use it.

These are some of the same people who complain about Southerners being "prejudiced." Do the world a favor: burn a suburb. Burn a resort community.

Actually, out of curiosity, do 'lower class' people actually live in the Hamptons? I was under the impression that this is an area with exorbitantly high cost of living. Why should a community spend their tax money on a public feature that would not be principally used by the community members?

If 'lower class' people live in the Hamptons, wouldn't it be a smart move to sell your house, and use the proceeds to move to a better, cheaper area? That would help you move from 'low class' by reducing cost of living.
