Maybe they should buy Facebook so they can save themselves.

FARK_JOSH: what's an AOL?

It's a floppy-disk or CD shaped coaster, but that's not important right now.

You know what I'd like? A greenlight every three days involving something similar to:

"In other news: people still use AOL."
"In other news: AOL still exists."
"AOL Sucks"

Hey you know what mods? In other news, everyone knows AOL is still around, doesn't farking care, and it's not the least bit funny anymore.

No, profit is down because TWC sucks.
-Modem kept dieing randomly on me (fixed finaly after 3rd repair guy)
-Cable box crapped out last week (replaced)
-Long wait for customer service because of automated do-it-yourself fix

After over a year of trying to get someone to fix my internet connection they finaly find out it was a wiring problem do to old wires and splitters. It took 3 maintainence guys and a year to figure this out because the first 2 didnt bother running any tests and just switched out the modem. Another time a maintainence guy came because a tenant in the same building complained about his service being bad and that service guy cut service to the basement.

I'm sure I threw out thousands of those AOL CDs. They always (seemingly) respawned in my mailbox back in the 90's.

Its a rip though, that's 25 hours you can't be online!!

TW also seem completely incapable of managing their cable channels. CNN and Headline News (now HLN) are thoroughly unwatchable with all the Larry King and Nancy Grace and guys reading their Twitter feeds polluting the schedules instead of, y'know, news. Cartoon Network canceled Toonami and is showing live action reality shows and fake sports. [adult swim] keeps on renewing Tim & Eric.

FARK_JOSH: what's an AOL?

Back in the day, it was a really useful technology that allowed people to go online...

...without being bothered by swarms of kids, mommybloggers, and clueless idiots who had no business being on the Internet. They all went to AOL instead.

And then, one day, there came The September That Never Ended...

To reflect it's current relevance, they should change the name to Amish On Line

Saturn is the new AOL. The most common excuse I hear from people who buy a Saturn is, "I'm used to driving a Saturn." Like no other auto manufacturer makes something with four tires, gas and brake pedals, and a steering wheel.

Fact: They don't even sell ISP services anymore
Fact: Subby is a dipshiat stuck in the past along with his jokes.

I lol'd.

I'd just like to point out that this site royally sucks. Imagine if AOL (yes, the service provider that Subby was talking about) owned MySpace. Yeah.

You can imagine the fun I'm having trying to get their cable encoder cards to work with my TiVo HD.

Back in the early 90's I was contracted to work for AOL. My job was to bring up 4000 ISDN Modem lines a month. When I first started, we had 1 million users. When I left, it was up to 8 million.

It was a good experience and although sometimes stressful, i learned a lot and was blessed that I could bring up modem lines so that kids could get into chat rooms to ask...

A/S/L
