Kirby Muxloe: What you did there, I saw it

Great, now there's someone watching me go Number 2. I knew I shouldn't have used clear bricks for the bathroom.

I really wish Top Gear was every week, all year round. They are too bloody lazy tho and some of the crazy stunts cost too much and take weeks to set up. We are on week 4 of the new season here in the UK and it's as good as ever.
I live quite near to Dorking but I don't think I'll go - it's going to get mobbed by everyone in south-east England who has a bag of Lego they no longer want. Stunts like this appeal to our love of the ridiculous.

Cornwell: They plan to build a house from 3.000.000 pieces of Lego? That'll be a rather small affair I think, considering that the Mythbusters used more than 500K pieces for their 7 ft. boulder of Lego.

/Just saying...

Except you aren't entirely filling the area of a 3D object. You build the frame of the house make some way to attach the second foor. Add steps. Add furniture.

/Just saying there's a difference between a solid object and a house where there's room to move around the ares is completely different.

marcpen: We are on week 4 of the new season here in the UK and it's as good as ever.

You think so? I've found it more forced, more obviously staged and with less interesting pieces. I can't remember anything particularly impressive this series. Plus Clarkson's more irritating, or so it seems.

But then, once they'd launched a Reliant Robin on a set of rockets, how could they top it?

Hmm.. it's only about 40 minutes from my house. I might go and take some pictures.

Meh, it just wouldn't be right if all three weren't there. Then they blow it up with TnT when done.

Captain Slow will apply too much math and exact angles to the project but because of that he will be able to stay in it. It is a great idea, and i wish i could be there.

SharkTrager: Somaticasual: Deagan Herumor: "I've got a man working on a flushing Lego lavatory. We think it's possible."

I would not want to be the one that cleans the lego toilet after someone goes #2.

No kiddin. God I hope they seal it somehow, too, since any kid that's ever had the bright idea to try to make a lego ship will say - legos aren't even remotely watertight for the most part.

I would assume that they would use a silicon sealant.

Smeggy Smurf: Private Dick: I though't they already outed the stig...

Besides, 'Captain Slow' will find a way to bore it up...

/but I digress...
//need to find out what 'digress' means

If they did I wasn't paying attention

They claimed he is Michael Schumacher but now they have, I believe, admitted he wasn't really The Stig, but was just brought in for that episode.

yeah it was just for that episode because Schumacher was the only one who would let them run a Ferrari FXX around their track due to Ferrari's tight restrictions on those cars. It was just a giant stunt to get him and the car on the show.

Why does he have the hairstyle of an old woman?

2009-07-26 12:10:09 AM
Since Michael Jackson was 90 percent plastic, he was melted down into Legos so little boys can play with him too.

SharkTrager: Private Dick:
You beat me to it...

I personally think The Stig is a different driver each time, I've noticed different driving styles & I'm positive that he's gotten taller and shorter in different episodes. (Thinner, too.)

One thing I read said there is actually a team of drivers and they take turns. Not confirmed, but as they have said The Stig is not a person but a character, it fits.

Wouldn't different drivers make the Lap Times board sort of pointless?

/believes The Stig is one person, atleast during one series.

Baron Von Supercock: I'm just wondering when Top Gear is going to be back on BBC America

Just download them via the torrent links on finalgear.com 30 minutes after they air each week, like the rest of us americans do?

While cool, if he only has thousands of lego bricks he most assuradly does not have enough. Many of the larger lego sculptures at legoland take millions of bricks and a house will be bigger than any of those.

If I had to put my finger on a number I would say you would want at least 75 million bricks to build a lego house.

Earlier this week I was playing with Lego at work for this... I work for the structural engineer for the project, so we were testing structural beams made entirely out of Lego bricks to make sure that it doesn't collapse.

getting a kick, etc...

desertgeek: mud_shark: fark all this - I DNRTFA and I didn't read your Farking comments - how do I get a gig like Captain Slow? All three hosts are total fark-up losers who love cars just like me. Why can't I get paid to go on TV and have a laugh like they do?

1- It's a British show and they are British.

2- They're not losers. Unlike you.

They're losers too - Well, Capt. Slow and the short guy are anyway.

LadyMech: Being a girl, I didn't get Legos. And I would have been run off the girl's section of the playground if I wanted to play with Legos. I did once have some Duplos, but those are barely worth mentioning.

I am sad for you. I grew up with the Lego Castle System, and it was great!
