He should have reversed the polarity.

They mention Reading Rainbow and ST, but not Roots?

HIS NAME IS TOBY.

See what happens when you let blind people drive.

Shunt the buffer and narrow the confinement beam. WTF is this guy's problem?

Diogenes: Shunt the buffer and narrow the confinement beam. WTF is this guy's problem?

That procedure has been officially disallowed because it has the nasty side effect of duplicating Jonathan Frakes.

Sybarite: He should have reversed the polarity.

Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow only works on the TARDIS. He's going to have to re-route the plasma feed through couplings and redirect an inverse phased tachyon pulse outward from Bussard Ramscoops.

Inertial dampers are offline. Reroute auxiliary power from non-essential systems.

John Paul Jones: They mention Reading Rainbow and ST, but not Roots?

Seriously. Where's this media outlet's sensitivity to race issues? Alex Haley is calling The Cochran Firm as we speak.

Coolant Leak!

If it wasn't 8 in the morning, I'd have something witty and nerdy to say here.

I'll bet this was Troi's trying to make full Commander again.

2009-07-14 09:27:58 AM
Too bad the warp core ejection systems were offline...again.

2009-07-14 09:29:33 AM
He probably drank too much Romulan Ale.

Maybe he needed more dilithium crystals.

2009-07-14 09:35:35 AM
Apparently the inertial dampeners and the structural integrity field of his vehicle failed.

2009-07-14 09:40:38 AM
Um...something about a Jeffries tube or the deflector array.

Star Trek's Levar Burton in the hospital with minor injuries after forgetting to recouple the Heisenberg compensators on his personal transporter, causing the pattern buffer to crash

Can Subby say that with any certainty?

2009-07-14 09:44:36 AM
I think the problem is that he broke the Warp 10 barrier, devolved into a salamander and got it on with Mrs. Colombo.

I wondered about that myself. He had a prominent role in a groundbreaking miniseries, and the omission is saddening.

Heck, William ^&%$ing Shatner is still thought of as Kirk, and he played that in the 1960s.

Star Trek jokes, Star Trek jokes, one Roots joke...

Come on, people! Where's the Reading Rainbow love!

NikolaiFarkoff: Where's this media outlet's sensitivity to race issues? Alex Haley is calling The Cochran Firm as we speak.

Do you mean the Zephram Cochrane Firm? 'Cause that won't exist for another century or so...

Subby missed an incredible opportunity for a headline.

Levar Burton hospitalized...But don't take MY word for it.

Take a look, it's in a book...the driving manual.

He was driving while wearing his visor, wasn't he? If only there was a former acting-ensign who could take over navigating duties for him again.

"[Burton] collided with a car making a left turn at the intersection of Laurel Ave. and Beverly Blvd. at around 7:30 PM PT."

Who do you think was in the other car trying to take him out?

Typical Farker. RTFA, the Heisenberg compensators were offline.

2009-07-14 10:20:04 AM
he'd be a better driver if removed that damn thing in front of his eyes

2009-07-14 10:27:56 AM
It's a lot of work when you're trying to replicate dilithium crystals.

2009-07-14 10:31:55 AM
Was he late for a meeting on Alderaan? Why didn't he just jump to light speed?

2009-07-14 10:33:00 AM
Looks like someone needs to replicate a new pair of underpants.

I LOL'd

as an aside, he's supposed to be a real cool guy. Hopes for a speedy recovery.

Is it just me or does he just look weird without the visor on???

As Alex Haley and Johnny Cochran are both dead, that had to be a hell of a call. RRRRROOOOOOOOTTTTTTSSSSSSS

Probably distracted by his vehicle's Leia Brahms holo-wank program.

I hope the verteron fields were properly calibrated, or else there's gonna be problems.

I thought the headline was terrific, and then I read the thread.

Thank you fark, I love you!

Did he try an inverse tachyon beam? Like filling a balloon! That usually works.

2009-07-14 10:56:08 AM
so he did not see the other car ?

/nerds

2009-07-14 11:00:38 AM
Most likely his injuries came from interfering with Heisenberg's meth operation.
