I "think" the "point" of the "link" every week is so that "farkers" can "discuss" the new email. Although this might be a bit "much" for some to "understand."

ExPatBadger I think that's just the default when you write it on a computer from Dell.

heh heh. minor eating damage.

FrancisR That is definitely not appropriate for the forum, even if technically it isn't anything, it really suggests it. You better hope you don't get banned.

Bidding is up to $4.25. Wonder what will actually be sent to the winner? Hell, I might bid on it.

IckyMettle I wouldn't normally care, but seeing as how I, and many others, read this at work, if someone sees that on my screen they are going to think it's something sick. There's a reason for the rules in the FArQ.

2003-02-24 10:32:48 AM
It is my intention to sit down and play video games for several hours.

Sos Sounds likely (re Dell comment). But I didn't realize Dell supported Compy 386.

FrancisR: it's more suggestive thanany H*R cartoon with Marzipan in it

2003-02-24 10:40:56 AM
The funniest part about this email is that there's a mini-flame war here about the fact that Marzipan looks like a c0ck.

2003-02-24 10:41:58 AM
FrancisR- in the words of all these strongbad ass kissers here today, that picture was "pure genious!"

the "paper" is great, i remember having to proof read this atrocity of a paper on major league baseball that a fraternity brother of a friend of mine wrote. His paper was written with about the same level of craftsmanship, except that it was about 30 some pages long. It took 4 of us to get through it, and it was so bad none of us really knew where to start when he asked us what he could do to make it even more excellent. Somepeople are just best left living in their own ignorance i suppose.

Aliendave: usually the comments here at fark are much funnier than SB emails.

That burrito WILL be MINE!

2003-02-24 10:45:58 AM
Underwhelmed I used to work at Kinko's back in the day, and one of the (non-sanctioned) things we used to do is keep a copy of the more ridiculous papers, etc. for ourselves. I remember one woman who gave me 20 pages of poems to copy for her so that she could mail it "to Hollywood." Very bad poetry. Long time break-room fodder. I wonder if she's famous yet......

I spilt my coffee 'cause of that... Damn you Strongbad!

i bet the burrito will fetch $15. any more than that would be way beyond asinine... the bros are pretty cool though. i bet they'll throw in a bunch of hsr loot with it. as i've already surpassed my monthly ebay allowance (by a couple hundred dollars), i'm just gonna watch...

Total_spaceship_guy Is it the Brothers that put the real ebay item up though, or just some random fan? They just made a fake page on their site.

TBS007:

You don't like SB? Aww shiat. That sucks... oh.. wait...wait... looking at profile. Oh you like Kid Rock. No further explanation required.

Dickhead.

2003-02-24 10:53:37 AM
the speed with which it was posted (after the email went live), and under that name, would make me believe it's them. it's their style. but i wouldn't be shocked if it was some random fan...
but i think it's a safe bet it's the bros.

2003-02-24 10:57:20 AM
oh no. fark posted a seperate ebay link (with its own thread).

i bet by the end of auction it's like $50. at least. whoever ends up with that thing is an asshat...

2003-02-24 11:00:38 AM
The burrito is almost $15 bucks now.....mmmmm....burrito.

www.homestarrunner.net is slowly taking over my life.

2003-02-24 11:06:39 AM
Total_spaceship_guy, if it was really them, I'd expect the seller to be the same as the fake, witchesbrew82.

2003-02-24 11:07:22 AM
It's not a Witches Brew - It's a Woo Thang!

Even if it is "suggestive," the "rules in the FArQ" still allow for it. I suggest you read the rules yourself before you attempt to site them.

Well, the easy thing to do would be look up the user... But I have no idea what my ebay ID is, since I haven't used it in a very long time. Anyone willing to log in and look it up?

MMMMMMmmmmmmmm, lemon jello breakfast burrito with slight eating damage.

I'm not going to get into an arguement over it, but I did read the FArQ.

"What is considered an unacceptable post on the comment boards?
Anything falling into the following catagories may be deleted:
- Images that are "not safe for work" "

Personally, I think that is NSFW.

</I'm done with the topic>

The first H*R email I ever read had SB on vacation... I thought it was one of the dumbest things I ever wasted my time on, until I discovered the Easter Eggs. Those cracked my shiat up, and I'm slowly coming around to fan-hood.

2003-02-24 11:19:56 AM
But the topic is not done with you, Sos.

2003-02-24 11:25:45 AM
The bidding is up to $76.00.

You guys are pathetic!

For those who want to blast or flame about this "strongBad".
IT'S STRONG BAD!! TWO WORDS. AND THIS GOES TO SS too.

2003-02-24 11:31:26 AM
$840????? *jaw on floor*

2003-02-24 11:32:31 AM
Sos:
If your short attention span allows for it, you can read where it describes what they consider NSFW. Unless you think Marzipan is a device "used to penetrate bodily orifices," you don't have a case. And that's the reason you're "done with the topic."

Lamer

2003-02-24 11:32:59 AM
$25,100.00

lame.

2003-02-24 11:34:01 AM
I think a fan posted on EBay. The easter egg listed the seller as "witchesbrew82" (which is outrageously hilarious) and the EBay seller is Homestar01. I think it was a fan who cut and pasted. Probably Sharksandwhich did it.

2003-02-24 11:35:02 AM
Now it's over 10 million. I wonder if the brothers will give them negative feedback when they refuse to pay it!

2003-02-24 11:37:03 AM
Well, it looks like eBay bids can only get up to $99,999,999.00.

Flaw?

2003-02-24 11:52:35 AM
If you want to talk about the auction page, there's another comments section that deals with it exclusively.
