I am not sure what's worse.

The fact they needed a padded helmet, or that they had one around, just in case.

Well, at least it's cheaper to pad a psycho's head than it is to pad an entire room...

Padded helmets, handstands, and refusal to obey? Sounds like just a typical Saturday night, chez Igno-Bob.

You see kids, despite what you read on Fark drugs will cause you to lose your sanity, your freedom and often your life. Don't be sucked into the Fark mentality that drugs are benign. They aren't.

Ponzholio: Why'd they attempt to pixilate his face???

I don't think they did try, I just think his life is that out of focus. Or he is a ninja and this was a high-speed camera shot

Someone's never seen MyNetwork's Jail or Street Patrol. I wouldn't, either, if it weren't my job.

Other than the handstand, there's nothing to differentiate this story from tons of others. People on drugs or alcohol do retarted things and have to be treated as such.

i say make a break for it now, reguardless of the economy.

if the python/ the old people behind the caddie/ random hurricanes, zombified remains of ponce deleon/ government dont get you, you might just be driven to do a handstand and refuse to obey the officer after he attempts to arrest you for public insanity

I was referring to having a supply of padded helmets readily available...

If anyone's ever seen that montage of clips from COPS, you've seen where that guy repeatedly slams his head against the cop car window from the inside (probably trying to break it). Banging their head against things must be common amongst the drug crazed, especially once they are subdued in handcuffs in the back of a police cruiser. So naturally Florida being way ahead of the curve is going to have an ample supply of padded helmets for this kind of scenario.

OK, I didn't read it, but aren't ALL helmets padded to some degree? It would be more of a bucket then a helmet if it didn't have padding.

Oh My God. I used "then" instead of "than". What a hillbilly.

If you had to guess which state would have people wearing buckets and calling them helmets which state would you guess?

In the early 80's, I had a friend who would bang his head on cop cars when he would get arrested (which seemed to happen often) so they would take him to County Mental Health instead of jail. He thought there were better conditions there.

All of 'em? No wait... Ones that end in "sas"? Nope. Oh, I give up.

Them cops with their fancy padded buckets.

Can someone explain to me why making seatbelt laws a primary offense is considered to be racist? Is there some sort of cultural reason that African-Americans don't typically wear seatbelts?
