That's kind of what I was thinking. She's probably been doing pageants a long time and just kept working her way up the ladder. Previous contests didn't really require any commitment beyond competing in the next pageant.

It's like all those people that go on Bachelor-type reality shows with no intention of actually marrying anyone. They just want the attention.

Now watch, a few days from now, the naked pictures will come out, and I'll look like an asshole. Fortunately, this is the Internet, and no one will care or even remember this post.

That's my take on it, too. Some people, I guess, just compete in these things because they've always done that and maybe never expect to win or consider what it might mean if they do.

And, she's probably won tons of prizes that didn't require her to give up her day job in the past.

That's why I just do a close trim. Greatly reduced danger of cutting something, less itch, still looks good enough to get the "it's appreciated" from the ladies, and still leaves enough room to let it air out.
