sirgrim: National tragedy, this is.

The trifecta is complete. Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and Billy Mays.

A pin-up, a jingle writer, and a late-night TV pitchman.

Is this our "culture"? GO USA MORANS!

kdogg73: Does this start us over for a new 3?

No, I think it branches us into a new three. From people who were big in the 70's and 80's to people who died at 50.

Michael Jackson dead at 50
Billy Mays dead at 50
Who will be the next 50 year old to kick the bucket?

2009-06-28 12:22:42 PM
bcroz:Death must not be on holiday. Billy Mays? WTF!!! Granted, he was annoying but Death couldnt find his way to Vince's, Britney's or Paris' house? Somebody get this guy a GPS.

this
Being world class annoying should not be a death sentence. Unless you are Vince, Britney, or Paris.

Nah, don't worry about that hyperactive Fark, he's one of g-ds children, an Hebrew.

AH! It's all clear to me now! This is GAWDs wrath for Obama farking with Israel. He is smiting our Celebs!

2009-06-28 12:23:23 PM
too bad there is no omar epps to seemlessly replace him...

2009-06-28 12:23:24 PM
Some 'Splainin' To Do: He was annoying but, in a weird sort of way, he was also authentic.

I actually enjoyed watching Pitchmen just because it really exposed the fact that he was like that all the time, on or off camera, but he was also passionate about what he did.

Apparently he really wouldn't pitch a product unless he genuinely believed in it and he really cared about doing his best to sell the product the best he could.

So yeah, he was loud and annoying, but it doesn't seem like he was a bad guy. I can certainly think of people who are more deserving of death than Mays.

I was thinking the same thing.

You get another Billy Mays death for free. Just pay Shipping and Handling.

I just watched pitchmen with my mother over the phone. She hadn't seen it before and really liked it. 5 minutes before the end, the news broke.

She said "Well I guess I won't be looking forward to next season."

2009-06-28 12:23:36 PM
WTF??? I was just watching Pitchmen...

2009-06-28 12:23:41 PM
Any other news site that can confirm this?

His son's actually pretty laid back. I guess that kind of settles the whole Nature-vs-nurture debate.

Aside from the obvious trolling, you're wrong. The trifecta was complete with Jackson. Ed McMahon died earlier last week.

Hi, Billy Mays here!

My funeral will cost $39.95...but only if you call within the next 30 seconds!
I can double the flowers and throw in extra set of veils for grieving the wifie.

You have to pay the extra shipping and handling costs.

2009-06-28 12:24:02 PM
But will they be using the Awesome Auger to dig the grave? How about using Mighty Putty to seal the casket instead of nails?

/got nuthin'

2009-06-28 12:24:03 PM
That plan was meant to crash. No one was to survive. Now there will be a series of suspicious deaths.

/Sounds like the plot of a movie... if we only had someone to pitch it.

2009-06-28 12:24:05 PM
I just hope this is treated with the same reverance as MJ with constant, non-stop coverage on all network news shows all the time. Makes us all forget about wars in multple places and the like.

2009-06-28 12:24:26 PM
What are TMZ saying about this?

2009-06-28 12:24:28 PM
I heard they found a pocket fisherman lodged in his throat...
