steamingpile: The problem with IRL is that they have just a couple of decent drivers that will contend and she still cant win every week. .

Are you kidding? She is in the most competitive open wheel arena in the world. Former CART race winners and champions like Dario, Tony Kannan, Helio. She is going up against teams like Penske and Ganassi. She is racing against an Andretti and a Rahal. All in basically spec chassis and engine combinations. People disrespect the series but she has finished in the top 4 in her Indy 500 career. That is pretty damn impressive to me.

GSD4Ever: Left turn, left turn left turn.

Could one of you farkers in the know tell me what makes this a sport?

I can see baseball but not this. The sport in this might be holding your urine until the end of the race.

Mostly because baseball is a game. So why you enter this thread unless you wanna troll? A sport involves something exciting, either wheels or a motor or both. Anything called a game is not a sport. Chess, poker, basketball, and lots of other things are called games. Hope this clears this up for you. Your dog can chase a ball. Your 6 year old kid can chase a ball. They would have some trouble tuning and driving a racecar. I hope I am not feeding a troll but you seem sincerly ignorant. I hope this helps.

If you can turn left 600 times, do a few pit stops, calculate fuel windows and some of the other options, tires, brakes, cautions, and do it better than the 30 or so teams that qualified and better than all the teams that didn't qualify you could make some serious money. I expect to see you compete next week. Pensky or any of the other teams would love to have your giant brain.

Too bad she hasn't led Indy since her first year. And only one win. Not really that impressive.

turbokat: Denied by Jayski. I knew this was bunk.

/Move along, nothing to see here........

I just always assume when it's been denied, that means it's damn near certain.

I think Danica would have too much ego to run a year in Nationwide, Trucks, or even ARCA. Switching from open-wheeled cars to stock cars is not an easy jump, and it's better that she develop her skills in a lower-tiered series so as to acclimate. Not to mention she never seemed keen on racing 40 weeks a year.

But I can see her taking the Hendrick deal, the same way Kyle Busch jumped ship to Hendrick when they offered him a fast-track to Cup instead of a graduated program to work up the ladder.

/probably the source of my initial animosity for Busch

i met her at PIR a few years back.. shes pretty much smokin hot. As for her going to Nascar, id say give her a shot, most of the naysayers are just afraid she'll beat up on the good ole boys too much.

How original! Did you stay up all night thinking of that one? Because that's damned witty. Nobody EVER comes into a NASCAR thread and comments on how all you do is drive fast and turn a certain direction. You must be one of the head writers for Dane Cook.

/And in case you didn't get it, I was being sarcastic.

What? A non-winning figurehead? Anything that matters anyways. She's getting paid.

/ I'd spill my seed on her

Danica may do alright in Nascar but we'll never know. If she does change series (and it would be far more likelier with Rousch), than she would need to spend some time learning how to drive the cars which means time in the Nationwide series. She could spend a year in the junior series before moivng up.

Unfortunately that's not how it's going to go down if she moves. She would get a couple of Nationwide races and be rushed up to the cup series before she was ready. And Rousch will provide an ARCA car that's far beyond what the competition can field guaranteeing her a spot in the Talledega ARCA race which will qualify her to attempt Daytona then give her the points off the 26 of the 6 (whichever finishes higher).

The reason the Nascar doesn't have a black or female driver is because Nascar doesn't have a black or female driver. There is such a push by the organization and sponsors to get these drivers exposure that they're pushed up through the ranks before they're ready.

And the best drivers were all in Long Beach when she won. In Nascar terms it's like a Cup driver winning a Nationwide race in Kentucky when the Cup race is at Bristol. (Though she pulled the trick off better than Anna Kournakova who lost a tournament that was going on during the Olympics in which she was the only ranked player.)

SHE CAN'T EVEN BEAT UP ON THE DRIVERS SHE'S AGAINST NOW!

And the BEST of the BEST in THOSE drivers aren't worth a lick in Nascar!

Dario burned out, and JPM and Hornish needed time to get competitive.

NO way. A chick that can do Algebra and Calculus versus a girl that drives over 225mph in a single seat racecar.

You punks talking smack would pee your pants if you tried going half throttle in Danica's IndyCar. Most people can't comprehend 650bhp in a 1500lb car.

No actually, I'd love the concept of racing IndyCar. You on the other hand, probably piss your pants every time Danica's name is mentioned.
