I just can't believe that a professional athlete would cross the line.

Ah ha! Ah ha ha! Ah ha ha HAHAHA!

So you confronted and taunted a professional athlete. And got off with a little shove.

And you claim assault?

You are either a) a total pussy or b) out for cash

/the choice is yours

Maybe it's not roid rage, maybe he's just a jerk. Ty Cobb was known for assaulting hecklers even without riods.

Romero took an over the counter supplement bought at GNC that was on the MLB approved list.

The supplement maker changed the formula and it caused Romero to test positive for that substance.

None of that is in question by MLB or Romero. And Romero is suing the supplement maker for his loss of wages.

It had nothing to do with steroids, and the guy who yelled it to him is an ignorant asshat.

You can buy legal otc steroids at most supplement shops (I don't think gnc sells but many other places do

You can actually buy them accidently (although any supplement user should do their research but sometimes its less obvious)

KEITH: Well lookit, the way I remember it I was walking up the ramp. I was upset about the game. That's when you called me pretty boy. It ticked me off. I started to turn around to say something and as I turned around I saw Roger McDowell behind the bushes over by that gravely road. ...

The other poster is correct. It is a myth. Although it might increase agression slightly the people who go into roid rage were raging assholes before taking the drugs. A normal well adjusted person will not become an angry out of control person

When you're a professional athlete getting paid a few million dollars a year, TOUCHING a single fan because of something they said is just stupid.

And shoving someone is just about the textbook definition of "simple assault." Tell you what, moran - walk down a city street shoving people, and when they react say "You got shoved, get over it." See how fast the cops are arresting your ass. And you'll deserve it, too.

Only a typical fark douchebag would defend a wealthy athlete for plain assault.

The guy shouldn't be in baseball if he can't take heat from the fans.

I saw SF fans throwing batteries at Tommy Lasorda, which I think is a retarded thing to do, and all Tommy did was tell flip the bird and tell them to go fark themselves.

Sounds like an asshat. [cites Peter Gammons article]
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Romero said on Monday that he bought a supplement from a GNC store in Cherry Hill, N.J., in July. The Major League Baseball Players Association had told players the supplement was acceptable, but now the Philadelphia Phillies left-hander will receive a suspension and lose $1.25 million.

"I still cannot see where I did something wrong," Romero said. "There is nothing that should take away from the rings of my teammates. I didn't cheat. I tried to follow the rules."

Romero said he does not want to name the supplement in the event young athletes attempt to purchase it.

Three months after Romero was tested before a Phillies-Mets game on Aug. 26, the players' association sent a Nov. 21 letter to players that stated, "We have previously told you there is no reason to believe a supplement bought at a U.S. based retail store could cause you to test positive under our Drug Program. That is no longer true. We have recently learned of three substances which can be bought over the counter at stores in the United States that will cause you to test positive. These three supplements were purchased at a GNC and Vitamin Shoppe in the U.S."

The guy bought a supplement at a GNC store at the mall where he lives. The players Assn. said it was approved. Later they said it wasn't.

The guy did nothing wrong.

No, he bought one that was on the approved list at the time. He even called to make sure. Then the manufacturer had changed the formula and all of a sudden, it was on the banned list.

I honestly think that this was a bit unfair.

I flat out don't believe that scenario, it is a very easily concocted story by any kid with his hand in the cookie jar.

It may be legit, maybe it can be proved, if you have links please provide them and i will change my opin. but a lot of people have tried to say the same thing when busted
