A man's behavior at a one-stop mailing service caught the attention of an employee and led to his arrest for trafficking Oxycodone, according to his Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office arrest report.


The two employees at One Stop Mail Service said the man came in, insisted his package needed to be shipped right away and then transferred items from one envelope to the next, making sure no one could see what he was doing, according to his arrest report. He then paid with cash from a "large wad of money" in his pocket, according to the report.

After he left, the employee told her manager, who opened the package. Inside, she found a cigarette pack filled with crumpled napkins and a number of pills, along with two wrapped condoms.

The store has signs posted that indicate all suspicious packages can be opened.

The pills were addressed to someone in Illinois.

As a conservative independent who would have labeled himself a republican before the party Palinated itself and then went into full "Purge all non-evangelicals" mode, I think his ego has long subplanted any substance he ever had, and the nicest thing I can think of to say about him is that he's easier on the ears and the brain than either Beck or Hannity.

I'm not sure that simply posting such a sign is sufficient. I'd think that once they accept it for mailing, it's US Mail. The manager was a dumb-ass anyhow and should have called the police. Since he didn't, he's likely to find himself testifying as a witness in a weakened case against the person doing the mailing... if it's not thrown out altogether. The manager likely won't be prosecuted, but he's open to a nice lawsuit.
