Hey, I know its not the same as fark going green, but you guys can make your fark green if you have greasemonkey.

Green Fark (new window)

It's nothing special, but feel free to tweak it.
You may need to change the sites for TF, as I don't know what the url looks like.

Also, can't remember who made the altered green fark logo, but thanks! I'll try to look back and find you.

Hey,

anyone that has some c/c++ knowledge want to write a better proxy system with me? I'm thinking a system heavy on the stenography and UDP, light on the plaintext proxies that can be inspected.

Uranus Is Huge!: Not trolling, but I just got off the phone with a buddy of mine that is now convinced that Tatsuma is actually 3 Mossad agents that monitor Fark around the clock.

/Yes, there's an echo.

Well, even if true it would mean that he/they would likely have much more detailed information about what's going on in Iran than just about anyone at this point. So, I guess, party on...

/props Tats

Tatsuma has spent the last three days putting his humanity where his mouth is.

I do believe he is permanently above reproach for those of us who have watched this.

Drew - mayhaps a unique case of permanent TF for Tats? God knows he's earned it.

Oh, and maybe sell these threads on CD?

I support this fully. He can even have the time left on my account added to his if thats possible

I still think the Lebanese Hizbullah is mentioned FAR too much in your writeup Tatsuma. You mention them as much as the Basij, yet can't seem to mention anything outside of speculation based on someone speaking Arabic. Can't read the German report to see what it actually says. I would amend your writeup a bit on that section. Otherwise good work.

The Bestest: gilgigamesh: So what of this revolution if the election results were actually accurate?

What of the will of the majority? I am afraid we're losing a little perspective here in rooting for the protestors.

academic at this point

The main thing now is that a very significant portion of the populace at least FEELS they've been outright lied to by their government and that they have no say.

This is essentially a large-scale "no confidence" by the people.

But that isn't democracy. That's what elections are for.

If the protestors are, ultimately, pissed their guy lost, then this has nothing to do with democracy and is, in fact, antidemocractic thuggery.

Tomorrow, 6pm.... I'm got conflicting info but it looks like it will be at outside the Iranian Interest Desk, at 2209 Wisconsin Ave, in Glover Park. Oddly enough that's my old neighborhood. I'll keep everyone updated if there's more feedback.

IronButterfly: Does anyone have pictures of the Stateside rallies in support of Iran, or anywhere else in the world for that matter?
The people of Iran might really appreciate seeing pictures and videos of the outpouring of support both here and abroad. I presume both YouTube and Flickr would host such galleries?

Tatsuma: I would rather not take the chance that some pro-Government forces point at me and claim that there is a Zionist involvment in this conflict because they are directing the protests.

My point is: will that sway anyone? The feeling I'm getting is that this has moved way beyond that point. I really can't see the protesters, upon finding out that information, saying "We've been duped!".

Maybe I'm being too idealistic. As a Jew, and having spent time in Israel, I'd love to see a free Iranian people that can think of Israelis as friends. Part of me thinks this could be a step in that direction. Just a theory.

Unfortunately, if you sent it as an "@" (reply), it's visible publicly and likely blocked in Iran and being used from somewhere else. If you sent it as a direct message, then probably it's being used in a proxy chain and you're OK.
