I wipe my ass with the whole *nix line and all of their followers.

Hey dumbass you're using unix right now:

Server: Apache/1.3.20 (Unix) mod_watch/2.3 mod_gzip/1.3.19.1a mod_perl/1.26

I guess I won't be seeing you anymore.

He knows he's using unix dumbass.

When asked what will happen when Unix computers reach the billionth second, another person quipped, "It'll pause for a second, then change to 1 billion and 1 seconds."

i love that farking line.

Bill, even if he did, which I doubt, he'd have a little more respect for what runs this little water cooler we have here. Dumbass.

Wow. I guess there's only one thing that's sacred here.

*nix.

You nerds crack me up, gettin' all hyped up over an operating system. I can see y'all now pullin' out the slide-rules in front of Waffle house at 2:18am, "ready to rumble" over which is better - Unix/Linux or Windoze. Give it a rest, and get over yourselves. ps- thanks for the laugh

Err, what computer nerd do you know that's going to defend Windows?

Anyway, I'll be celebrating the occasion by bring up my MacOSX and FreeBSD up to full steam and power all my Winboxes down.

Im happy with winxp. The OS should run in the backgroud and not be noticed. I don't want to have an OS that I have to spend a week checking for updates and configuring to get something simple like a modem or usb ports to work.

First of all, the name is "Dumas."

Newbaca - There are plenty of nerds willing to defend Windows. Most of them aren't interested in battling with *nix nerds because they don't care about being able to decompile and recompile everything. Sometimes code isn't the only thing that can make you ejaculate.

I digress. What I meant to say was, "Who cares?"

What it seems to come down to is that Windows isn't fun anymore (was it ever fun? Dos was fun). Unix has managed to be fun for at least 1 billion seconds now and counting.

Rikkochet,
I thinks most unix geeks like the fact that they are in control of what happens on their computer. Much beyond compiling and decompiling. But if you are happy to let windows run all those tasks in the background that you don't know about, and you don't care which programs have hijacked your browser to report back your internet usage to who knows where, then by all means, use windows.

All i have to say, as long as it ISN'T MAC, we will all get along just fine........

Fetus - I'm not happy to let windows run all its spyware, but I'll pay that price if it means I have access to virtually all of the software available on the market. And then I don't have to climb another bloody OS learning curve.. =P

Ever wonder why there are so many "windows for idiots/dummies/morons/people who like stile project.com" books out there? Think about it, it reflects on the people that use windows :)

unix/linux is great... not for me... if you have any hardware that is relatively new then you will spend weeks looking for drivers for it etc... why have a great o/s like unix/linux when it wont even run the top of the line hardware that windows will run?

"...and all the furries looked up from their wacked artwork, with female foxes who have penises the size of Volvo's,turned on the intercom systems on their lameass homemade panda costumes, and yelled "Huzzah!" as 999,999,999 seconds turned into 1,000,000,000,00.Many celebrated by having IRC chats in #furry, about messed up cyber sex fantasies involving bears and raccoons."

To celebrate this glorious event, I have set up my Macintosh IIci to dual boot A/UX and NetBSD.

I think those guys who are going to celebrate should take a double shot of liqour at the 1,000,000,000th second. Whadda ya say??

Hey, yeah, it's an operating system. Arright. RAWK!
