It gets kind of at the cardiac level sometimes. Plus, there is a lot of player loyalty. You just can't help but watch the players even if you don't know the rules. Joe Sakic is a genius.

If you like fast, intelligent hockey with tons of crisp short accurate passes, no thuggery, and great game flow then you really want to find yourself some high caliber women's hockey.

There may actually have been that many. Leaving work on Friday, there were Detroit fans EVERYWHERE going over to PNC Park. And I was down at the arts festival yesterday and there were a ton of Detroit fans there as well. I think a lot of them escaped for fear of riots after Game 7 (win or lose, many thought the city would be burning).

The Tigers probably have the best starters in the league 1-3 and worst 4-5. If you draw a three game series with Porcello, Verlander, and Jackson, you're farked. If Willis and Galarraga in two of the three, you're going to win that series.

Yeah, I meant cumulative. No one has a top three that's as productive as Detroit's. But goddamn, is it ugly at 4 and 5.

I went to Friday's and Saturday's games at PNC Park. The Bucs really are looking better this year. I just wish that they could get to that magic .500 mark. Every time they get close they just can't seem to get there. I figured the this weekend would be rough because Detroit's a good time and the Pirates are the worst inter-league players in MLB.
