Wow, this guy used the Ken Griffey Jr argument ("I have to be with family, so I want to go to Cincinnati, which is a few hundred miles from the family I need to be near").

The article didn't said the kid was looking at Tennessee, but his dad lives in Georgia. If I cared a little more, I'd find out where exactly his Dad lives, then which school is the closest that plays football at the D1 - D3 level.

Sucks that the kid has a sick family member, but kudos for the NCAA for holding kids to their letters of intent.

If he wanted to be closer to family, he could have chosen Georgia Southern, which wouldn't have made him sit out a year regardless. This is all a big scam.

If only they did the same for coaches.

This. If he's as good as they say he is then it won't matter where he'll go. Plus maybe GSU would actually give us some competition.

If you tell me that you're a Georgia Southern fan, I'll kill myself. Well, perhaps not, but we better not like the same stuff.

This is what he gets for snubbing Penn State.

He would have been guaranteed a starting spot this year and next...Plus he'd be on the east coast.

But he went to play for Cheat Carrol and now he's stuck....

Would I feel guilt in causing you to kill yourself? Maybe. Maybe not.

I've been a Georgia Southern fan since college, when a number of Jim Grobe's assistants headed down there to take over for whoever retired. My friend Meghan played softball there.

Oh you would, you just try and keep up the act of being an uncaring snob on here. At your core, we both know you're just a fellow suffering from a massive inferiority complex who lashes out at his betters without pause.

Well, as a fan of the option, I've liked that program ever since I caught them on one of the ESPN channels in the mid-90's. Paul Johnson cemented my love for Georgia Southern though, one of the best coaches in the country.
