I'm going to take the controversial opinion that since fans on both sides are certain the NHL is tinkering so that the opposing team will win, the NHL probably isn't tinkering at all. They are the two best teams playing some great hockey. Game 7, baby!

I don't know, my Pens fan friend commented to me (I was busy watching another game) that the refs were just letting the Pens interfere all over the place. The ref almost didn't call that blatant crosscheck in the back even (during one of the parts of the game I actually was watching).

I don't know if it's a bias for the Pens to win, or (more likely) that they really wanted to see it go to the seventh game, as Stanley Cup game 7s are the best in any sport's playoffs.

Still a pretty embarrassing mistake.

I'm going to assume that rival factions inside the NHL itself are tinkering to affect the outcome in different way.

More to the point, why do people think the NHL only has championship gear designed/printed for the Red Wings? They do it for both teams, and the idea above (accidentally posting the pages after what would've been a deciding Game 6) seems pretty logical.

Oh, PLEASE. That is foolish. The NHL IS NOT TRYING TO FIX THE STANLEY CUP FINAL. Obviously Major League Baseball has infiltrated the NHL and is trying to undermine them during their most important week of the year. I mean come on.

The Pens have been learning from the Red Wings. The refs aren't calling anything on anybody, so at least it's fair. I'm okay with this- hockey should be very physical, and interference should only be called in the most blatant cases.

For sure they are. Actually, it's a combination of Major League Baseball and the Rand Corporation, in conjunction with the saucer people under the supervision of the reverse vampires who are fixing the series to ensure that the Montreal Canadiens arise from the ashes to win a stanley cup in their 100th season.

Well there was that one blatent non-goalie interference that got called on Zetterberg. But yah... they're not calling anything on anybody so its fair *wink wink*, or the hooking between the legs of Lidstrom which led to the Pittsburgh's 2nd goal, but yah.. they aren't calling anything on anyone so its fair *wink wink*

The NHL is not going to have any team win. The teams are going to decide who wins. The NHL is satisfied enough with having a game 7 between teams that played against each other last year. They do no good by tilting the game in either teams direction since the Cup has its game 7.

/thanks.

Actually, Mike Milbury secretly controls the NHL. That's why it constantly seems like the NHL is being run by a bunch of autistic 5 year olds.

The problems is, yet again, consistency. The NHL has zero consistency, just look at suspensions handed out. I'm a big fan of letting them play, but if you come out and say "this is going to be a penalty, whether it's pre-season or Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals," and then you don't call it that way, it's just another nail in the NHL's coffin.

The interference call against Zetterberg was exactly the same as was called against the Pens in Game 5. How convenient that you forgot to complain about that call. *wink wink*

And how about the Wings covering the puck in the crease with their glove and it not being called. CONSPIRACY, I TELL YOU!!!!!! *wink wink*

The fact is, calls have gone against both teams. It is what it is. Yes, it leaves a lot to be desired. Fact: The Wings had two third period power plays last night and didn't do shiat with them.

Silly. Those calls that go the Wings way don't count. It's just the Grand Anti-Wings Conspiracy trying to throw us off the track and make Seahawk Wings fans look crazy! It's all a conspiracy. All of it.

Except that last year Crosby didn't touch it. And they lost.

And Lemuiex touched it. And won.

And other have touched it. And won.

And others haven't touched it. And Lost.

Hell most years, both teams don't touch it. Somehow, a team still loses.
