The culprit jumped out of the car but was caught by store guards. He admitted his crimes to police and was released, Pyosti said.

Does this seem really, really strange to anyone else? Perhaps arresting him right then so he couldn't go out and do it again the next day would have been the smart thing to do...

He admitted his crimes to police and was released, Pyosti said.

A day later, he was back on the road and broke into a pharmacy, a gas station and a store, but police caught him red-handed. Now, Pyosti said, he's in jail awaiting trial on charges of theft and damaging property.

After I admit my crimes, I hope I get released to commit more!

He admitted his crimes to police and was released.

Was released??????? Released????????

WTF you gotta' do to get jailed in frozen hell?

I'm headed there. A couple weeks of raping, a little pillaging, maybe a carjack or two and I'm on top of the world.

I'm confused as to what he was doing jumping into the back seat of a car in the first place. Was he trying to carjack it? Was he planning on hiding? Did he think he would be magically transported to Narnia? What was his madcap scheme?

And how common is the word "filch"? I'm 32 and this is the first I've heard of it.

The_entropy_kid : I have heard filch used now and then. It's up there with davenport in popularity among the seniors.

More importantly at 32 are you still considered a kid? :)

OK, if you say so Kootroc. Maybe someone will post an article about someone filching a davenport (although to me that just reeks of double entendre).

And I maxed out my maturity level at 11 so I'm able to retain my kid status. I've tried to jump start it by drinking bourbon and smoking White Owls, but so far no luck.
