Remind me not to visit Cincinnati, town of pansy cops.

Geez, take inventory, they are wearing mace, cuffs, nightstick, AND a 357 and they get mugged?

2003-02-16 11:59:41 PM
A $20 Valentine card, now that's criminal. Maybe he was going to use the nightstick to beat people at the store for overcharging.

2003-02-17 02:49:51 AM
and maybe, reallystupid, your name matches your description.

2003-02-17 02:49:51 AM
Damn, I'm surprised they still let the cops carry nightsticks. I'm pretty sure Chicago cops can't have those anymore - or those hella big Maglites that they were using as substitutes for a while.

And what kind of card costs $20???

2003-02-17 02:50:30 AM
Big deal. Everyone knows justice is meted out by Cincinnasty cops with their pistols, not their nightsticks.

2003-02-17 02:51:08 AM
Not ironic.

2003-02-17 02:53:12 AM
A $20 Valentine's card? For that much, there better be a stripper that jumps out of it.

2003-02-17 02:53:21 AM
next time, take the gun instead, dumbass

2003-02-17 02:53:47 AM
I agree. The $20 valentine card is the crime! Arrest the storekeeper!!!

2003-02-17 02:54:23 AM
Hey baby, why don't you come over here and sit on MY nightstick?

2003-02-17 02:55:21 AM
Officer Robert Williams was attempting to arrest Pearson Talley, a homeless man, for allegedly stealing a $20 valentine card

Nothing makes a lady's Valentine's Day special as much as a stolen card from a bum.

2003-02-17 02:55:26 AM
Shouldn't have been walking around with a nightstick.

2003-02-17 02:57:40 AM
that'll teach him

2003-02-17 02:57:41 AM
cops in Aus havent had nightsticks for years. they have to use those retractible batons.

its funny seeing some guy get wacked over the head with a small retractible piece of metal.

that and being sprayed with capsicum spray :D

2003-02-17 02:57:49 AM
Isn't Cincinnati known for racial strife?

2003-02-17 02:58:36 AM
this story does not taste iron-y.

2003-02-17 03:00:11 AM
I live near this Walgreens, and somehow - this didn't suprise me one bit. There's a Kroger that attaches to the Walgreens, and there have been multiple violent crimes in that parking lot. Someone was shot there last year.

Bit of a mess.

2003-02-17 03:01:50 AM
I've got one of those bigass Mag-Lites. Works pretty good. Also, i have a tazer and some Mace.

2003-02-17 03:03:17 AM
what is it? a suspect is suspected of assaulting someone?

if someone's been assaulted then there's no suspect, just an assailant

oh and it's not ironic...

(this post deleted by the time I get to work tomorrow or your money back)

2003-02-17 03:03:58 AM
Irony?
Um...WTF
There is no irony here
Should have had a DUMBASS tag.
This is crap
What has happened to the tags
They have slowly become meaningless
Totally and utterly meaningless
Like Uncle Ben's Fried Rice
That stuff is crap
Pure and utter crap

2003-02-17 03:05:49 AM

"Officer, may I suggest you use your knightstick?"

2003-02-17 03:13:04 AM
The tag should be retired.

2003-02-17 03:15:24 AM
That reminds me of a stupid joke we used to crack up at in Colombia during my youth:

Di "policia"

"Policia"

Te pego con el bolillo...

Ok, I think that made no sense....yeah, time for bed. Nite.

2003-02-17 03:17:35 AM
Another reason police forces should switch to the Asp and just whip the buggers senseless.

2003-02-17 03:18:44 AM
Eek. This is my post, and I seemed to have pissed some people off. I was actually excited because this is my Boobies on the front page.

Anyhow - irony is defined as an incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs, and my rational was that a criminal beating an officer with a nightstick is actually reversed from what normally happens.

I'm really sorry I pissed people off. I don't mean to derail my own thread, but I just don't want to make anyone angry.

Sorry again.

2003-02-17 03:19:39 AM
Ha. Boobies == f**st p*st. Oops.

2003-02-17 03:21:30 AM
On Sunday night police officer Michael Schulte lost control of his nightstick during a struggle with Andre Sherrer, a burglary suspect.

That sounds funny, heh.

"Shait! I have lost control of my nightstick!"

2003-02-17 03:22:53 AM
Id rather have an Asp then a nightstick any day. You can break knees and ribs easier with an Asp cause of the weight at the end. EAT IT, HIPPIE!

2003-02-17 03:31:59 AM
Just give them maces and the problem will go away

2003-02-17 03:40:48 AM
Haw!
imagining police officers with maces - some cop comes up to you and brandishes a club with a giant spiky ball on the end.

Yes, we should arm our police officers with medieval weaponry.

I gotta say, that was better than some of the truly awful goth poetry that has been inflicted upon me.

But Uncle Ben's Bombay Chicken Rice Bowl r0x0rz.

If I can face myself after saying "r0x0rz", that is.

Well, maybe officers would be a little more tough on their suspects if every minority in town didnt scream "RACISTS!" everytime they get served with a warrant. And by every minority in town, I mean "the families of black criminals in Cincinnati."

City council has taken the bite out of the police force in Cincinnati - I'm so farking glad I only travel downtown in broad daylight.

2003-02-17 04:36:53 AM
Paraphrased

Look up incongruity.
Reversed is closer.

Look up irony.

Is this cop's day job playing tackle for the Cincinatti Bengals? Something tells me, yes.

2003-02-17 05:41:09 AM
Have they considered installing safety locks on nightsticks so only the registered user can wield them?

2003-02-17 05:55:24 AM
Does anyone from U of Cincinnati or the Clifton area know if this is the "Kro-Ghetto"?
/too lazy to read article.
And Cincinnati may be a racist city, but it's the other way around (black against white). After all that crap in 2001, the cops have been castrated against doing anything that takes any physical power against a person of color. So now it's a city goin down the tubes, while the Black United Front (pronounced Asshats of Cincinnati) demands the city to give them everything to fix things, while they do nothing.

2003-02-17 05:56:05 AM
BaltoRadioGod, nice. I was thinking along the same lines.

Ensjoeski:

It's actually the Walgreen's next to it, which is just as bad.

I was really glad not to have to shop there while going to UC. Like most UC people, I commuted. I really hated going anywhere over on Short Vine.

"My client wasn't even in town that day, and you know it."

2003-02-17 10:03:57 AM
Yep, that would be the Kro-Ghetto at 1 W. Corry St, University Plaza. I work for the UCPD, and we went to the assistance call for this guy. He jumped the Walgreen's CPD detail after the alarm went off when he left the store. Hilarity ensues.

The irony involved with this has to do with a link I submitted that got rejected early last week. Last weekend, a CPD officer got jumped in an alley while chasing a burglary suspect, had his nightstick taken (he's left handed, so the suspect thought he was going for the officer's gun), and was repeatedly beaten in the head with his own nightstick. Managed to shoot the guy 6 times before he passed out.

You can imagine the comments from the black community of this one. "He didn't have to shoot him that many times" sound familiar to anyone?

2003-02-17 10:54:16 AM
I have to agree with Icy_one, the police in Cincy have gotten a really bad wrap for racism, when the reality is some in people in the black community are CRIMINALS and act like it.

I believe at one time there were something like 16 black men shot by police over a two year period - what they don't tell you is 15 of them were either armed or seriously threatening the police - one guy wrestled a gun from a cop and was shot - his family had a hard time dealing with that reality.

Then to top it off the farkING PUSSY city coontcil won't back them up anymore because they're afraid to not be re-elected.

2003-02-17 11:23:55 AM
I used ta have me a PR-24, then I got me a new PX-35, I been beatin the crap outta asshats ever since.

2003-02-17 11:27:52 AM
Testicleus - Timothy Thomas was #15 in 5 years, and since then we've had (I think) 3 more, so 18 in about 7 years.

The original 15

Number 16 was a guy downtown who unloaded 3 shotgun rounds into a cop's car downtown, the officer responded with 7 shots from his pistol (1 hit, a graze to the neck), the suspect fired 2 more times, and the officer shot back with his shotgun 3 times, with 2 shotshells and a slug.

Nunber 17 was a guy with a BB gun (one of those super-realistic things with the orange barrel marking removed) unloading at officers during a foot pursuit.

Nunber 18 was the dude who stole the nightstick last weekend.

2003-02-17 11:44:21 AM
CommanderApaul, I thought my numbers were off - thanks for the clarification. :)

I had a friend who used to work with the Cincy PD and he doesn't envy the officers down there because of the hatred for police down there by some members of the community. He says it will never be a win-win situation unless someone with real balls comes in and a real black leader steps in (not someone wanting to boycott white business and downtown business) - the city is going backwards - fast and furious.

I go to UC, and live in Clifton. Luckily I'm over on Stratford (fratford) and try not to venture over that way :)

Cracker-Ass Honky here was in town during the Black Family Reunion last summer.

Scary shiat.

'Course, that didn't stop me from blasting some Slayer (Reign in Blood) with the windows and sunroof open, on the way back from Annie's to the hotel.

Mwahahahaha...

People gonna cry all sorta shiat when the cincy cops finally get sick of this new friendly and nice attitude. Media or no media standing over there back it's not going to be very long before cops start busting caps in dumbass' again.

I figured I'd wake up only to have started a flame war on race.

CommanderApaul: Heres the 14 before Timothy Thomas, thanks to the Enquirer.

Heres a brief rundown of the 14.

8 had weapons (guns, bricks, knives, other odd items).
10 attempted to kill or injure officers of the law.
All 14 resisted arrest.

Of the 6 who did not have weapons, one tried to take an offiers firearm, two attempted to kill officers with a car (one, in fact, succeeded), one was a violent mental patient who was endangering the safety of those around him (who in fact died because he was resisting arrest and was not shot by the police), one attempted to avoid arrest, and one was an ambigious case with few details available.

So, what lessons have we learned?

#1: Don't try to kill the police.
#2: Don't try to run from the police.
#3: If you run, and you get killed, it's your own goddamn fault.

The law says you have the right to an attorney, and if you can't afford one, you'll be given one. If you're innocent, why are you running?

After the riots, violent crime rose by about 54%. Here's a very interesting quote: ''The riots caused it,'' Johnson said. ''It got us blacks killing each other and taking stuff from each other.'' Taken from here. 15 young black men who were so innocent that they couldn't be arrested at all, who sparked the black community into rioting, now have the blacks killing each other and stealing from each other, but its whitey's fault?

Yeah. Right.

Ahh yes, Stratford. I used to live on Wheeler (I'm co-opin in S. Carolina now). But I distinctly remember last years Cinco de Stratford party. Cops comin in and using them rubber bullets after the couch got thrown into the street... on fire. Party ended quick when someone no more than 10 feet away from me started shootin a real gun at the cops.

2003-02-17 10:32:29 PM
wow, he hit the cop in the head so many times the cop shot him, and then the cop only had injury to the face and arm........hmm
