This is for guys with a sinfully large abount of time. I couldn't bring myself to build one, but flinging stuff would be cool
2001-09-08 11:04:59 AM is also a great site. I really like the idea of a floating-arm trebuchet, but I think we are going to build a basket weight one for bringing to the Pennsic War.

I personally liked it when they threw a harpsichord off the battlements last year at Gulf Wars.

Of course, it was balsa wood, but...

And this site doesn't do siege weapons justice. I mean... you don't make them to fling farking pumpkins or barrels. You make them to hurl rocks at enemy walls - thus destroying a small section and invading! Or for knocking down those pesky towers, or hurling flaming dead cows over gates.

Fifthcolumn: And what's this using old car parts and arc welders to build them?

Gotta do it the old fashioned way, man--forge, hammer, pliers, and lots of pig iron!

Wish I'd had this site when we decided to build our model trebuchet last year.. Still, solid oak and can hurl a pebble about sixty feet. Not bad considering it's only a foot and a half high.

Well I'm all ready for a game of Age of Empires after reading that page!
