6 kids, a college student, and she's getting trips to ITALY. My family has one kid, 2 working adults, neither of whom have ever been able to jaunt off to Europe because we're too busy saving for retirement and our kid(s)' college educations along with all those mundane things like bills, swimming lessons, skating lessons, and vacations we actually include our child in on. Why didn't that stupid boyfriend of hers instead buy her a full hysterectomy?!?! I hope those kids don't suffer further in foster care for years; I hope they adopt them out ASAP and throw the loser mother's ass in jail forever. I think she's stupid enough to be a danger to all of society as long as she lives.

The stupid are easily outbreeding the intelligent 100:1 at this point.
2003-02-14 12:34:13 PM
Hey, it could have been worse- she could have left the brats with Michael Jackson!

2003-02-14 12:34:34 PM
Ace_Lightning is one of the kids.
2003-02-14 12:35:19 PM
I'll bet you she never planned to come back.

Didn't John Hughes make about 300 movies about these parents during the 80s and 90s?

If I were one of the kids, I would use my computer to create a hottie woman/genie that could whip me up a porsche. That really kills time while parents are away!

Yeah, but you have to wear a bra on your head when you do it, or it won't work.
2003-02-14 12:35:54 PM
It made me want to go on holiday to Italy
2003-02-14 12:35:54 PM
Hey Urbn,

I bet the boyfriend doesn't even know she HAS any kids...
2003-02-14 12:36:07 PM
I just thought of something, what are the chances all six of those kids could turn out to be JUST LIKE HER?

Just a thought...
2003-02-14 12:36:54 PM
Child welfare expert Janeane Garofalo sees nothing wrong with this situation.
2003-02-14 12:37:08 PM

I've got a bra on my head right now, so I certainly wouldn't have a problem with that!
2003-02-14 12:37:31 PM
AlienOmega - PLEASE don't scare me like that!!!

Assuming she is older and is returning to school for whatever reason (such as to get off welfare or after a divorce), if she is responsible enough to go to college, then wtf is she doing leaving 6 kids alone for 2 weeks?

Anyway, after 2 weeks, pretty much all of the food will be gone, milk goes bad, bread goes moldy, all the candy and cookies get eaten. I hope the 14 year old girl is smart enough to use
2003-02-14 12:38:04 PM
LOL, it's cool to have relatives that are willing to let you party. My mom would do that for me as long as I didn't go anywhere.
2003-02-14 12:38:37 PM
How dare she leave her children WITHOUT ANY DUCK TAPE!
2003-02-14 12:38:50 PM
i hope her kids are smarter than she is and racked up a nice welcome home credit card bill for her.
2003-02-14 12:39:07 PM
Yeah, scratch my earlier post. This woman is definately in the running for dumbass stupid coont biatch of the year award.
2003-02-14 12:39:35 PM
thats horrible... when my mom left me alone for 2 days she gave me a hundred dollars in cash... go mom!!! but leaving a six y.o under the care of a 14 y.o not good
2003-02-14 12:39:37 PM
Just because she got knocked up at 13, doesn't mean her 14 year old can take care of the family for two weeks.
2003-02-14 12:39:53 PM

Don't forget, 'college student' isn't just a title for people with ambition, it's also a synonym for 'unemployed'.
2003-02-14 12:40:27 PM
I bet $10 she goes to a clown college.
2003-02-14 12:40:36 PM
I wonder if it was either a trip to Italy, or be like that woman in Texas with the five kids she drowned....and no, I'm just speculating, not condoning.
2003-02-14 12:40:58 PM
Assclown college
2003-02-14 12:41:01 PM
Well... given the conservative nature of Colorado, I'd say those kids won't be bothering her at all anymore.
2003-02-14 12:41:01 PM
Italy is nice, but the north (Florence, Pisa, etc.) would be awfully cold this time of year. Better to leave your six kids and go to Italy in, say, May or June.
2003-02-14 12:41:16 PM
Sex_Biatch, and all their kids turn out to be like her, and their kids' kids, and their kids' kids' kids, and so on and so on until THEY OVER RUN THE PLANET AND THEN KEEP MULTIPLYING!!!

Got a little carried away there. Sorry...
2003-02-14 12:41:55 PM
Actually, I'll bet you're right. We had a case here like that where a woman left her toddler alone for days on end and never told her boyfriend about the kid. The child was found weighing next to nothing when I think a fire broke out in the apartment building and it was evacuated. The peanut butter on bread the mother swore she left out for the kid like 5 days prior had apparently run out.

I also agree with those who think she never planned to return and possibly was the 'anonymous caller' herself. I'll bet she already cancelled the credit cards she left behind.

I also think parents who fail their own kids this miserable should be first in line for the death penalty. If you can treat your own flesh and blood this way, there is no way you are fit for any society.

Well now, she's deserving of this prestigious award! Congratulations Mom!
2003-02-14 12:42:24 PM
The mother, who is believed to be a college student

A college student. A COLLEGE student? A college student with SIX KIDS??!!?!?!! Let's hope she's studying Biology so she can figure out how to prevent pregnancy.

You can't be serious. You CANNOT be serious! Please tell me you are not serious. Please tell me your little contribution to this thread is sarcasm.

A description of the boyfriend from this article:

"an older guy - in his 60s - who drove a big white car like a Pontiac Grand Prix with mag wheels and wore . . . cowboy boots."

I was going to say something, but I'll let it go.
2003-02-14 12:43:29 PM
Maybe fark needs a 'parent of the day' tag.
2003-02-14 12:43:43 PM
Does the state give out Mother's Day cards to felons?
2003-02-14 12:43:58 PM
This lady needs to be taken to
2003-02-14 12:44:03 PM
well, at least she left them with credit cards instead of rabit murderous rats. Hey, I'd take that any day.

I bet $10 she goes to a clown college.

So what are the odds this broad will end up on Fox's new 'who wants to do my mom' show?
2003-02-14 12:47:53 PM
Hypothetically speaking here: she would have to be at least 18 years old to be in college now, but that would mean she got knocked up at the age of 4...highly unlikely. We can assume she is at least 27, probably more like 30+ (which still means being pregnant at 16). Do you really think that credit card has much of a limit anyway?

Does she think that more kids together means they act more mature? No way!

Macauley Culkin in Home Alone was 1 mature kid, but if he had some younger brothers around, they would have burnt the house down, broken every family possession, and injured themselves, let alone eat all the available food in the first 6 hours.
2003-02-14 12:48:21 PM
I see nothing wrong with this. Well, except for the fact that it was TWO weeks. If it had been 7 days or less, it would be better. However, her daughter was 14. Old enough, imo, to keep the kids in line and in home. ($7.00 was a little short, what was she thinking!)

Also, remember people, not every person who goes to college is a 20-something. Given that her oldest is 14, and maybe taking in a guess that this 14 year-old was a premarital, teen baby, I would put her at about 33 (+/- 3 years). At some universities, this is normal. heh.
2003-02-14 12:49:37 PM
This is so sad. I am sickened by this. What is this world comming too??!!

Who goes to Italy for vacation?
2003-02-14 12:51:41 PM
I honestly don't see what's wrong with this. If there was at least a neighbor or someone to call or check on the kids periodically... My mom would leave for the weekend or sometimes for the week when I was about 9-14 and leave me home with a credit card and some cash. I went to school, came home, did my homework, ate, went to sleep, etc. like always. It's not that uncommon.
2003-02-14 12:52:00 PM
Well, B_C, we seem to be thinking along the same lines there, you just beat me to it. (age-wise)

lmao, Ilbf32
2003-02-14 12:52:02 PM
She should've saved some money and went to the Jersey shore or something.

Therefore she could've left about $20 for the little squirts.
2003-02-14 12:52:44 PM
This is why we need to institute public whippings people. You drag this biatch into the middle of town and give her 20 lashes. Hopefully the next stupid biatch will think twice before abandoning her kids. Aaaarrrrghhhhh
2003-02-14 12:52:59 PM
My mother did this, only she went to New Orleans. No credit cards, though. We did get complimentary "My mom went to New Orleans and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" t-shirts. And massive leniency during our party years. You kids just don't know how cool the 70's were.
2003-02-14 12:53:11 PM
acording to the article that Malinios posted, she was in her 30's. she also has a sketchy boyfriend. she sounds like a prostitute to me, based on that article anyhoo...

2003-02-14 12:54:14 PM
Machtyn, a fourteen year old might possibly be ok to stay on his/her own for a long weekend or something, but NO WAY is a fourteen year old able to watch four other kids for even a full day. When I was 16, I babysat a family's five kids down the street for 2 hours and they practically destroyed the house until I locked 3 of them in separate rooms after the freakin 6 year old pulled a KNIFE on the 2 year old. I told the lady she needed a shrink for her kids and herself more than a sitter and not to ever call me or my sisters again. Her solution? She and her husband started leaving their 13 year old in charge. Needless to say, child services became very interested after separate incidences involving first cops and then the fire department.

I have a feeling my scenario is a far more likely outcome than whatever you have dreamed up in your head.
2003-02-14 12:54:59 PM
I hate to bring logic into this conversation - but 1st of all, college students can be any age. she might be in her 40's.

2nd, the 14 year old girl should have been able to babysit the other kids. all she has to do is make sure they dont kill themselves, and order pizza on her mom's credit card for 2 weeks. mom can cleanup the house when she gets home.

I dont see a real problem. I dont think she deserves to lose her kids or go to jail over this.
2003-02-14 12:55:25 PM
A 30+ year old woman in college with 6 kids and a boyfriend rich enough to afford frivolous trips to Italy...doesn't this sound like a responsible person? Would a responsible person do this to their kids? Leaving them alone for a couple days or a weekend is fine, I mean the girl is 14, but for 2 weeks!?! with only 7$ and a credit card that could very well have been maxed to pay for the trip in the first place? She must not be an economics major.

Let's hope she's studying Biology so she can figure out how to prevent pregnancy.

It would be ironic if she was majoring in social work.
2003-02-14 12:56:16 PM
Moms Gone Wild...Italy!!
2003-02-14 12:57:16 PM
2 weeks of pizza back when I was that age would've been better than awesome.

Just think how much it would've sucked if the card she left them was already maxed out?
2003-02-14 12:58:07 PM
Greely huh? It figures with some of inbred mutations that inhabit that place. Who would have guessed!

Well, not to worry. The state of Colorado is going to have a field day with her. She'll probably wish she would have stayed in Italy.

I feel sorry for those kids.
