LOL

The mid 90's was when the GOP went right out the farkin' window.
Newt is such a vile piece of shiat, he actually makes Bill Clinton look like a Choir Boy.

2009-05-21 01:03:57 AM
She also banged her secretary while loudly denouncing someone else's affair, and tying down the whole country political process with that obsession.

She's also a short, white-haired man that deserves to be sexed by a gorilla.

He's trying real damn hard to get back into the spotlight. Stewart cracked me up when he was on TDS yesterday. He asked Gingrich why he was willing to let the government run one massive institution (military) and not another one (health insurance) and Gingrich was just struck dumb by the idiocy of his own arguments. He had clearly never thought of it like that and had absolutely nothing as an answer.

I wish this would get more play than the page-six crap it's going to.

unlikely: I wish this would get more play than the page-six crap it's going to.

Why? Just because Gingrich says she shouldn't be Speaker doesn't automatically boot her from the job. He's being an attention whore and you're encouraging it.

GAT_00: He's being an attention whore and you're encouraging it.

Au contraire.

He's inviting the comparison to his own personal peccadilloes (like in the headline) and if it gets a little more air time, his name will be as synonymous with Hypocrite as Benedict Arnold's is with traitor.

That's the thing I'm hoping for most of all.

1/10. Are you even trying anymore?

2009-05-21 03:28:00 AM
Why is it that more fecal matter is excreted from the mouths of republikkans rather than their anuses?

Because they have shiate for brains and the mouth is closer to the brain to allow for periodic evacuation. Then they go listen to rush and the shiate fills the brain cavity and they have to evacuate. Rinse, lather, repeat.

No she's not. She's a lightning rod for Republican discontent, but ANYONE would be getting just as much criticism.

If Pelosi needs to go it's because she's reneging on her own positions about DADT and marriage equality. Eff this "I support full equality! But I'm not going to do anything!" order of business.

Thank God that Obama can't do anything wrong and Pelosi is as innocent as a little girl playing with a puppy dog. Last time I heard about adoration of a political party this way was when I got learned about the history behind Germany in the buildup to WWII. I wouldn't question Pelosi either, even though she has already back-tracked on her story regarding knowing about torture twice.

See no evil, hear no evil...do not question your leaders.

I thought Newt was a slimy SOB back in the 90's. Nowadays, he seems bright, for a Republican, but he's still a bald-faced liar and a world-class hypocrite.

2009-05-21 04:30:54 AM
The person who is No. 2 in line to be commander in chief can't have contempt for the men and women who protect our nation. America can't afford it,

If the "2 in line" has been given unreliable reports in the past, can the nation afford for her to support the CIA? Assuming that her allegations are true, then it seems ruinous for her to be a Pollyanna about it. If she's wrong, then she needs to have a back-up plan for a Worst Case Scenario. However, 2 other realities need to be considered:

1. Neither she nor the CIA can afford to admit wrongdoing, because it would seriously cripple the intelligence community. Right now there is conflict, but if the CIA revealed to its agents that the management can't be trusted, or if Pelosi revealed she is scapegoating them, there would be a real problem of morale. So if Biden and Obama get eaten by a grue then the nation has no choice but to hope that she is correct. That's all there is to hope for.

2. If the President and Veep were eaten by a grue, the CIA would shake down every troll, goblin, ogre mage and evil dragon on earth until they put the Fear of God into them and finally found the grue who did it. the CIA would do this regardless of who was in the White House.

The short answer: No confidence.

She does seem a little - I'm not sure how to put it exactly - unsure sometimes in public and in interviews. She seems very careful about what she says, for example, and the talking points bullsh*t doesn't come naturally to everyone.

To be the Whip and then the Speaker she must be a shark behind the scenes, though. That's what really intrigues me about Pelosi. Some politicians - like Gingrich - you just look at and you know they're devious bastards. For Pelosi to get where she is, she must be very excellent at the behind the scenes power jockeying. But it's much harder to tell.

steelpeg: when I got learned about the history

When I got learned about the history, I learned that Hitler took advantage of race issues. You can't compare the US today to Germany then, because the equivalent would be if a Jew led party that replaced the Weimar republic (and then there would be no Nazism). The US has a history of racism against blacks and indigenous peoples (and recently, Latinos). Having a black president really does make comparisons to the Nazis impossible, whether your white-guy-indignation admits it or not.

In a few years I bet there will be some genius memoirs and autobiographies with all the dirt. Unless Pelosi's political mojo is so strong that people are afraid to cross her even once she's retired.

Well, at least you get points for originality. Let me get the usual suspects out of the way:

She's a biatch.
She's a coont.
She's ugly.
She's partisan.

There. I still await an actual reason for all of the PDS, aside from the fact that she is a convenient diversion from the mounting evidence that the previous administration made torture national policy.

Tor_Eckman: There. I still await an actual reason for all of the PDS, aside from the fact that she is a convenient diversion from the mounting evidence that the previous administration made torture national policy.

Don't mistake me for someone who is attempting to defend Bush. My disdain for Pelosi and Reid goes back to when they were bending over backwards for Bush after the '06 elections. I don't care about her looks or her partisanship, but I do care about her ethics and her inability to take a stand in opposition to something she apparently disapproves of when she is in the prime place to do so. This whole torture briefing nonsense only reinforces my dislike for both her and the putzes who were in the White House from 2001-2008.

I worked for Gary Pelphrey in his failed attempt to unseat Newt for his last term. Also worked for him to take the seat once Newt decided not to run again, but Downs baby Isakson won. I actually knew Newt at the time, he was being plied by the business I worked for, plied for favorable legislation. Amazing what a few bucks can get you. They put a picture up of the CEO and Newt warmly shaking hands, then took it down about halfway through the Lewinsky thing.

Newt Gingrich is actually a neat guy to talk to, he has a very detailed factual knowledge of American history. Unfortunately, once that history has been processed by his brain and comes out as opinion, it has undergone the same transformation that a crème brûlée experiences as it is processed by the human body.

Considering how Pelosi has been acting these past few weeks, I'd say she's channeling Gingrich's spirit.

What? You say a person has to be dead to be a spirit?

Have you looked at Gingrich lately?

I hope the GOP does succeed in getting this whole PelosiGate thing in front of the public. When she was first accused, Bob Graham came out and said that 3 of the 4 dates the CIA had claimed to have briefed them never happened. The CIA retracted the claim on those 3 dates, but hold to the 4th. Then on The Colbert Report last night I heard Bob Graham say something very interesting, that at this 4th alleged briefing, there were people present with no security clearance - meaning that it could not have been the type of briefing they are claiming it to be.

Another loser issue made up by the loser party.

Bring it on biatches.

And keep Pelosi, while the retards are focused on her facial features, the Democrats can keep remaking the country.
