What is that? Like a light saber show?

Well, I would imagine that they should have cock-fought against cancer if they wanted public support.

How about a bum fight for cancer?
2003-02-13 09:20:35 PM
Man.. that is just sad.

Funny, this seems more like a Florida or Arkansas type thing.

No. I live in Tennessee. People are really into this. And the really sad thing is that they get their children into too.

Where was that 85 year old guy from Italy? I think he should have been the promoter, or maybe Pfizer.

I wish my friends had thought up something like that for me when I was diagnosed.... Lazy bastards.

I'm disappointed that my call for cocks has resulted in nothing. Perhaps I should take it to a thread that has nothing to do with cocks.

Cock: Wanna fight?
Vagina: Yeah.
Cock: Well bring it on!

Last I heard, the bout was still going on.

A cockfight where a person was killed by the cock was more interesting but that submission of mine was also ignored.

I'm no news guru and yet they've missed several great stories I've submitted. That means they need to purchase a clue and/or we gotta go TOTALFARK.

Cockfighting should remain legal. It's sad that suburban voters with romaniticized ideas about chickens have the money and influence to destroy a tradition that dates from colonial times. The fighting cock is a noble bird, and the fights are awesome to watch. If you visit Puerto Rico it's televised. I'm always depressed when I here another state has voted a referendum to outlaw the sport, because it means that one more piece of rural identity is stripped from the country. We Americans must all become like sentimental suburbanites, apparently. Meanwhile, a workforce of primarily Hispanic Americans work in poultry processing plants, slaughtering millions of birds in the most depressing fashion for their lean cuisine consumption. Yet our suburban consumer/voters are incensed that two highly aggressive animals, born to defend their territory are pitted against each other, with one bird guaranteed survival and the other guaranteed to be a spectator's dinner. In a cockfight, the bird gets a chance!

The only worse thing, according to the perception of the sport, is that the spectators are uneducated lower class (as seen by the frequent 'cletus' references above). What a parochial and insulated, and, yes, ignorant assumption! "I'm a suburbanite with a community college education, an I'm sure as heck a lot smarter than them guys! Duh-huh!"

Thank you, Mister Chaney. Maybe now people will start buying the "Proud Owner of a Cancer Cock" bumper-stickers I invested in.

If they truely want a cockfight for cancer they need to spend more time greasing up their zippers!
