"In 1987 . . .angry residents lured police into Cherry Hills with fake emergency calls and attacked them with rocks and guns."

I think we need some context there, Johnc98:

"In 1987, two white officers shot Betty Willingham seven times after she raised a knife and charged a police dog that was attacking her brother. Willingham survived, and angry residents lured police into Cherry Hills with fake emergency calls and attacked them with rocks and guns."

The asshat residents shouldn't have attacked the cops. But it didn't happen in a vaccuum.

I see nothing wrong with this.

Flibbertgibbet, great, then we should send this guy over to follow you around in his squad car yelling "Crack Man" on the PA.

I suppose that since we've already won the war on terrorism, the cops have nothing better to do now anyway.

Its unjustified to label this individual "crackman". Its long been known that this title belongs to me.

If you try to sit, I'll sell you crack near your seat.
If you get too cold I'll sell crack near the heat,
If you take a walk, I'll sell crack near your feet

Crackman!

I must say, this is a new stategy.... better than cracking him over the head with a nightstick, I suppose.

Some neighborhoods could get rather loud, though!

2003-02-13 05:12:44 PM
I've been called crackman before. What's it mean. They also yelled " Hey, why don't ya' get some suspenders asshat." Someone help explain this to me.

Imagine my disappointment when it turned out the cop was not making fun of the man's lack of a belt after all..

So he gets a little "owie" on his record, BFD. Cops, politicians, lawyers, public officials all stomp on the rights of citezens, steal, cheat, and outright lie and then walk away with zip for penalties. I think we need a new law passed. Let's call it, "The Times Four Law". If you are in a position of public trust, (politician, cop, lawyer, judges, etc)and are convicted of a crime, ANY crime, then your penalty is automatically 4 times the maximum sentance that is on the books for that offense with NO possibility of parole. I think there might me an abrupt attitude change after a few asshats found what prison was like.

Forsythe P. Jones-

That was one seriously 'cracked' comic

I'm sorry - I'm not condoning this or anything, but I bet it would be funny as all get out to be on the street watching this as it happened.

I can't stand the police, but at the same time I respect them for the most part. Yeah, there are these wide assholes that essentially use their position to make up for their small penis by pushing around everyone. I hate em. Don't care how many times you put your life on the line for me, if you make your living by pushing people around then fark you, as far as I'm concerned.

The good cops? The ones who I can genuinely tell that want to help out? I've been known to buy coffee and food for those rare and few cops that have that twinkle in their eyes. These are the real cops. These are the people that I respect, even if I don't respect the law.

You stop 20 people for speeding. 10 of them black, 10 of them white. 1 white person acts like a total asshole to the cop and is searched. Turns out he has a gun on him and some blow. 4 black people act like assholes and are searched eventually. They too are found with drugs. Imagine that scenario happening to you every day. As much as I hate racial profiling... I still can understand where it comes from. The pig's an asshole, but still, respect him/her. 99% of all arrests are due to the criminal's own stupidity. The people who are stupid/insane enough to talk back to the cops are the ones giving the cops reason to search them.

Bleh. I dunno what I'm thinking. The cop was wrong but after 5 years on that job I'd prolly do the same.

Long post. Meh. Rant. Screw all of you hippie liberals/Jesus lovin consertives/whatever. Yup.

2003-02-13 05:18:18 PM
I think cops shouldn't just pick on the crackheads. They should call everyone out on the PA. Can't you just see cops driving around calling out "Hey Fatass!", "Whore", "Nice tits blondie!" in the streets. Its a community service.

2003-02-13 05:19:04 PM
ZipBeep Yeah,I know, just the first thing that came to mind. ;)

I need my crack..the pipe stays with me.

2003-02-13 05:19:42 PM
Are we absolutely sure he was saying, "Crackman!"

He could have been saying:

"Nice slacks, man!"
"I wanna play Pacman!"
"Those charges were whack, man!"
"Clear the track, man!"

I guess the main question is, did he turn around when the cop called him that?

I agree with the reprimand. Surely he could come up with something more clever than "crack man".

2003-02-13 05:23:02 PM
Skinink - you did it good, and i couldn't do it better.

2003-02-13 05:23:57 PM
CB "The Times Four Law".

I like the way you think CB. Public servants have a sacred trust - if they violate that trust they should pay big-time.

It would be nice to have a "3 strikes" rule for cops and politicians, at least. Geez, the aldermen in Chicago keep running, even right after they get out of jail.

Is "CRACKMAN" a valid license plate down there? ("CRKMAN" should fit, anyway).

2003-02-13 05:28:41 PM
Gimpel - Yep.
