When I read the headline I was all set to make fun of this guy, but "crying uncontrollably"? What's the point of ridiculing someone who so obviously already hates his life? It's just depressing. Here's hoping that this article and the additional humiliation is enough of a catalyst to get him to change his situation. Either that or we're going to see a follow-up article where the dad says he had no idea his son was so depressed and never saw it coming...whatever "it" might turn out to be.

I'm 27 -- and it's just plain sad that he's living with his family like that.

I won't judge too hard on that though - there are possible scenarios where someone older might need to move back home, esp in these hard times economiclly.

It's open season on this loser for not complying with his parents wishes. It's their house, their rules. He lives there rent free, so he pretty much has to do whatever they want.

I do have a sibling slightly younger who's a total loser similar to this (not living at home) but always getting bailed out my mom and dad. I feel sorry for parents that keep enabling this type of behavior. Nobody wants to hear how the best thing you could do to people like this is kick them out on the street and force them to jumpstart their own lives.

School board is not a "political career". It's what a 28-year-old does for a job when he doesn't have any life skills or professional talent, but is too proud to work in fast food. Parents should have thrown him out long ago, but they probably feel guilty for raising such a whiny, dependent man-child.

My Mom is 85, and if I threw a plate of food in her home, I'd be 6 feet under before I knew what hit me.

Throwing food? biatching about having to clean his room? When I was growing up mom slid a plate before us and we ate everything. Of course mom is a pretty good cook (I think it's the Italian in her) but you never had outbursts. Once I made a big stink about something and I had to sit there until I ate it. And I did.

My brother got threatening with mom once. She started crying, called dad, who was in Manilla at the time. He flew home, told my brother to GTFO, flew back to Manilla. A week after bro moved back in after apologizing to mom. He never pulled that crap again.
