If anyone has heard Dry Branch Fire Squad, they know all there is to know about KY culture.

Sorry, I just can't imagine what a "Kentucky Center for the Arts" must be like...

Kinda like a Hall of French Military Victories?

Say what? I wasn't paying attention.

"Kentucky Center for the Arts"

Shouldn't this have been in that unlikely hall of fames photoshop thread?...

Need I add that I was drinkin' a beer?

Phrenile, careful you don't wrench you're shoulder there, dude.

I'm amused to see banjo pickin' get the respect it so desperately craves.

It's obvious they haven't thought of "Arts' Beer" yet.

I actually live in the hellhole that is Kentucky, and it is pretty embarrassing seeing crap about it. I've also had the displeasure of going to the "Kentucky Center of the Arts" and you can go through the entire thing in like 5 min. I always just ended going to sleep anyway.

*sigh* I guess it would stupid to try and tell people that Kentucky is not all about banjos and screwing your sister.

The center's a great place, and I'm thankful for it.

Besides, who needs beer when you've got free tequilla in the sewers?

TheBigOne, what exactly is a child molestar? Is it a child with a mole...who is a star? A child who is a star.....that has a mole?

/knows what a child molestEr is..... shamefully admits to also being a Kentuckian along with the "child molestar"

TheBigOne and Fodder_4_Da_Man
Why do you live in a place that you clearly don't like? Don't know how to turn on a car or buy a bus ticket I guess...

Kentucky has art?

Current status: Pretty Impossible.

Actually, for being in KY, the center for the arts is quite a nice venue that hosts some great performances. Admittedly, we don't get some of the shows until they've had their run everywhere else.

Don't knock it just because the rest of KY is full of hicks, we have a few cultured people here.

I kind of can't leave the hellhole of kentucky, because I don't have a car, and am in High school

Maybe they'll have a broadband online presence for the welfare recipients.

Sannyasin, actually, I love KY. People who've never lived here can't appreciate some of the niceties of the state. Some that do live can't appreciate it either. Oh, well...their loss. I've lived here most of my life though I really do love Colorado too. I lived out there 8 years in mid-70s-early-80s. I was just mocking TheBigOne because in his user profile he says he's a child molestar. It looked to me like a spelling that would help perpetuate the misperception that all Kentuckians are uneducated hicks. We're decidedly not. I'm not saying there aren't plenty of uneducated hicks but the generalization that we all is just plain stupid and flatly wrong.

Hell, I'm pretty sure that not only Drew (owner and inventor of FARK), but also Jeff & Mike (two of his fellow Admins) are all KY residents. How many FARKers want imply their ignorant hicks?

Unwise_but_not_stupid & JPMallory, right on, fellow 'tuckians! CATS rule! Duke SUCKS!
