"David Cooper, who used to be in the sex club business until the county shut him down last year. Since then, he's been waging a one man war against sex clubs."

The whole "If I can't have it no one can" attitude is so adorable...when you're five.

Well it is kind of unfair to shut one illegal business down and ignore the rest of them. He probably didn't bribe the right guy.

Or... Perhaps he finally got wise to the fact that he was dealing in sin and perversion and decided to campaign against it.

Plenty of porn stars who have gotten out of "the biz" have launched campaigns against the degradation of women via pornography.

Why is this different?

I don't know if you're aware of this, but most of the women who leave the porn industry aren't leaving millionaires. They make decent money, probably even in the 6 figures, but girls who go into porn aren't known for being the most fiscally minded, retirement driven employees.

In fact, I believe thats part of the complaint that those who retire have. The entire industry is built around the girls (pardon this horrific pun) burning the candle at both ends.

What a coincidence that this moral conversion happened the instant the city shut down his sex club. The evidence points more towards hypocrisy than it does sanctimony.

And most of the ex-prostitutes who campaign against porn are just mad because they got old and ugly and can't make a decent paycheck getting farked.

So they complain about the industry because it didn't *MAKE* them save a portion of the money they earned for their retirement?

They must be more stupid than I thought.

I'm just saying, theres no 401K in porn. There are no business advisors giving them tips. Most loan officers et al, want nothing to do with them.

Everyone else looks down on them. So what are they going to do with their money?

Purses, shoes and drugs.

Another women's issue, prostitution. I do not understand why prostitution is illegal. Why should prostitution be illegal. Selling is legal. farking is legal. Why isn't selling farking legal? You know, why should it be illegal to sell something that's perfectly legal to give away. I can't follow the logic on that at all. Of all the things you can do to a person, giving someone an orgasm is hardly the worst thing in the world. In the army they give you a medal for spraying napalm on people. Civilian life, you go to jail for giving someone an orgasm. Maybe I'm not supposed to understand it.

Who cares what this guy's motive is? None of us can read his mind.

The bigger issue is, should the government overlook the law for economic purposes?

It's not a left or right issue. Suppose Vegas decides to turn its jail into a 24/7 reality TV show, with full camera access to every room, cell, shower, etc. Oh, sure it would violate the law, but it's not like anyone would be harmed, and the criminals gave up their privacy when they broke the law, and the TV show brought money to the city to spend on the children, blah blah blah...

Sex clubs for grown ups shouldn't be illegal anywhere for any reason. This should be obvious but I'll say it anyway.
