I just read the headline to my wife in my best Wallace Shawn voice. She wasn't paying attention at first, but then our roommate comes around the corner saying, "I thought you said you couldn't find my Princess Bride DV... dammit. That was you again. Should have known."

Good headline, subby ;)

I ate my ticket to this game, and instead watched the NFL Draft.

Fark me.

Yankees bullpen is shiatty bc they spent all their money on a pitcher than can get them through 6-7 innings a week and can't afford any set-up men.

You passed on Yankees-Red Sox to watch a draft?

Inconceivable.

I liked that even though AJ and Beckett were getting mashed both managers were like, "Meh, he's keeping his out, we might as well keep ours." It was a great game if you hate pitching.

/Youk has turned himself from one of the best players on the Sox to one of the best, if not the best all around player in the AL

Mother farker! I changed the God damned channel because I thought it was a done deal. I shouldn't be so pissed though. I don't give two shiats about Boston or NYY. But their rivalry is amusing.

Yeah Sox! It was worrying to see Beckett play like a softball pitcher, but I'll take a W, especially against the dangerous bats of the Yankees.

I was going out for the afternoon, so I set the recorder. Then I realized it was a Red Sox/Yankees game, and extended the DVR to record 2 hours pas the "end" time.

I think I only had 30 minutes of non game coverage, and I got to bed pretty late watching it.

I made this mistake Friday night. I tivo'd the game but only the scheduled 3 hours. When it asked if I wanted to add an hour I thought "No, I'll be home by then to catch the end.." I ended up only seeing through the 7th and had to look online to see what happened after.

Wonder what the over/under of tonight's game is going to be? after or before 1am?

Why are the Yankees and Red Sox unable to play a game that does not cause me to have a series of strokes? I'm not sure I'm going to survive this one. Please feed my cat.

Psh. Should have booked it before. See if you can score a script for some diazepam. Really helps when you're watching your pitcher walk the 8 and 9 hitters on 10 pitches in the 9th. :(

From today's Daily News reader's comments:

It's still early. Wait until it warms up. This is no problem AJ is our stopper he'll be fine against weaker teams. Great game for Cano, the guy is a legend and will go straight to Cooperstown. He seemed very happy with his blasts as he was laughing after the loss. Such a classy player, the new Rod Carew except Robbie has power! Good game for Girardi I thought there was nothing he could do it was just one bad pitch from AJ otherwise a shutout.

Que? You know the guy is hitting .444 and is mashing the ball, right? The Sox also signed him for pennies on the dollar. Also, you're a Twins fan. Finally, the Sox were in the ALCS last year, and didn't finish 3rd.

When is ESPN going to fire Joe Morgan? I know it has been said a million times before, but give me a break. Not only does he constantly talking about himself and the Red's but I can't remember a semi-current reference he's ever made. I mean, how many people watching can actually remember Jimmie Foxx and put him in context to current players?
