CowboyUpCowgirlDown: all schools and public venues closed until May 6th in Mexico, churches remain open for those who wish to pray (pops)

So, hopefully this will hit the idiot Christians who feel a need to pray in groups.

Fark.I have to go through NYC to get back to my home on Long Island in two weeks when exams end. My family is coming up to get me and driving me back down. We are so screwed.

No stopping in NYC or anywhere nearby for whatever reason.

C'mon, I can't be the only one who thought of this can I?

Did you read that article in Wired where that guy believed the group crashed the economy and then was going to start a plague?

This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it.

Looks like a good time to start re-reading "The Coming Plague". Great bedtime reading!

No one in actual first world countries is dying of it.

10 high school students who just got back from a trip to Mexico are believed to have it in NZ; tested positive for type A, but will have to wait a few days to confirm it's H1N1. They're fine.

At this time it seems like it's a bit of an overreaction because it started off in a semi-third-world country with crowded conditions and bad health systems, causing people to die of it.

Yet.

From December 2005 through February 2009, a total of 12 cases were confirmed in the US, all from people in direct contact with swine. There have been 20 in the past few weeks, just from being NEAR people who had the virus. This is big.

I was listening to Coast-to-Coast last night, and it sounds like this thing is for real. Once the first big city (probably Mexico City) is quarantined, all hell will break loose.

Coast to Coast thinks BIGFOOT is real, sir. I suggest you use different sources...
