As a woman, I can't see this in the theaters, but I am SO SO SO looking forward to it's release on DVD next week.

i'll watch any movie where amy smart might get naked.

Fleet: Saw it last night. Gratuitous violence, boobs galore, and a surprise cameo by my favorite band's lead singer looking dorked out.

Fun times all around.

I guess Geri Halliwell...

Hoboclown: Hoping to convince the girlfriend to go see it...she wasn't big on the first one.

Couple random questions that maybe the movie answers:
1.) Is he still dying of the stuff from the first movie or is he feeling better
2.) If they are harvesting his organs why are they giving him electronic replacements

1.) He's feeling better

2.) He needs an artificial heart to keep him alive so his organs are fresh when theyre harvested. the idea is to steal his organs in an "as needed" basis, so he needs to be alive.

Crank was awsome, and so is Crank 2. Basically its Grand Theft Auto: the movie

Toshiro Mifune's Letter Opener: You mean the big reveal towards the end?

That was one of my favorite parts of the movie.

Are we talking the CHELL-EE-OSE part? Because yeah, I dunno. It was sort of the most implausible thing in the movie for me. Which is saying a lot, given that the whole movie was implausible.

... one of my favourite random things to say to people used to be "I lost my nipples in the war", so a certain other part on Catalina Island definitely warmed my cockles.

mynameistim: i'll watch any movie where amy smart might get naked.

Not "might," she does. They censor the stuff that would have made it NC17, though (the bastards!).

The movie is utterly ridiculous, but pure theater entertainment. I doubt anyone will remember it a generation from now, but for the moment it's a great big-screen movie.

This is the movie my Fiancee wanted to see for her birthday.

It was awesome.

fusillade762: Where's the Joe Bob Briggs review when we need it?

A review like that could conceivably go on for days and days.

MtHammer: ^ Hit the nail on the head. Fantastic movie that took everything present in the original movie to their furthest possible extremes. I still have a slight preference for Crank, but High Voltage is so completely over the top it's hard not to love it. Arguably the most ridiculous movie I've ever seen. Just awesome.

Right on - It's like Commando meets Crank meets the beginning of Magnolia meets the end of Bowfinger meets Gary Larson's "The Far Side" meets sitting in a large paint can mixer.

The question is... what the hell are they going to do if they make Crank 3?

scumbucket: QUestion for those who saw it:
Is this Lone Wolf and Cub ninjas-on-skis-with-rocket-sleds type entertainment? Where they tell the audience to just STFU and be entertained by the ridiculously awesome movie?

Come to think of it, I think you've got the premise for Crank 3 right there.

(But yeah, scumbucket, you're pretty much right on the money.)

hosalabad: I saw it yesterday.

I'm certain that it will be the most entertaining and satisfying movie I'll see all year.

Please note that I'm drawing no conclusions about quality. =)

That's the most important distinction to make about this movie.

Is it a "good" movie? That's questionable, very debatable.

Is it entertaining as all hell? Very much so.

Hmm... so the Uncensored DVD release may actually be worthwhile for this movie?

YES. That.

Because yeah, I dunno. It was sort of the most implausible thing in the movie for me. Which is saying a lot, given that the whole movie was implausible.

I think that's preciously why I liked it so much, the fact that it ranked a solid 25 on a scale of 1-10 on the ridiculous meter.

It's as if the filmmakers burned the script 10 minutes into the start of the production and said, "Fark it, we're just going to make up whatever the hell we want along the way."

I doubt it, just because I doubt there was any actual penetration to show uncensored. This is the horse track scene we're talking about, with the two of them going at it in about a hundred positions (wheelbarrow FTW!).

Saw it last night, farking loved it. Loved the 1st one too. Statham delivers again.

"Transporter 3 last night - gawd what a shiat movie."

Worse 2 hours of my life. I wanted to pull out my own eyeballs just so I could more easily scoop my brain out with a spoon.

HappyHarryHardOn: So any farkers seen this yet?

I just read this spoiler-filled review and it gave me the giggles a few times.. Sounds like they just said, to hell with it all

Saw it earlier today. Rocks on toast with a spread of nutella on it. Granted, there were about 6 of us in the theater, and my friend and I were able to laugh hilariously the entire time.

If you go there able to suspend your disbelief that Jason Statham can't be killed (and if you've seen any of his other movies, this is not hard to do), you'll have a great time. Having watched many of his earlier films makes a few scenes a bit funnier.

Well worth a matinee, worth full price if you're a Statham fan.

Unbelievably awesome in the most literal sense of both words.

Shoot Em Up was fantastic.

I'm going to watch Crank 2 I'm sure, but I'm scared it might be like Transporter 2.

I'm taking the kids to see it tommorow.

Crank 2 looks like my kind of movie.

I don't care what the critics say, sometimes an over-the-top crazy action movie is what you want to watch.

My guess is, skip making the film entirely in favor of beating ticket buyers in the face with a can of Brawndo.

i'd rather watch Kitty Playhouse (new window) for a month than see this movie.

I was thinking about buying that place and turning it into a family restaurant. Do they still have the dungeon in the basement?

It's as if a Troma movie went mainstream. The world is a better place now.

/not kidding.

Crank 2 is the most pointless, insane, idiotic, violent, gratuitous, unbelievable movie I have ever seen.

It was GLORIOUS

Lots of electricity? Totally wild and over-the-top? Crazy fight scenes?

Obviously, you should all see Electric Dragon 80,000V (trailer, which doesn't even begin to describe it)

Crank 2...

Sounds like a gay porno title. As in: "The man and his legendary Crank returns..."

Hell, I wasn't even aware there was an original Crank.
