And 80% of it will be jokes rehashed from existing episodes, like somebody falling and holding their shin for five minutes or asking Stewie to say words that start with a "w".

While I was watching that recent episode where Lois did the knee gag I totally called it. As she's running home ala Willy Wonka, I'm said to myself "you know, I bet they do that bruised knee gag again"

I had to laugh when that happened 3 seconds later. But not because the joke was funny, just that it was that predictable.

If it was the whole movie, then yes, that would be hilarious. Unfortunately, it'll just get inserted into the middle of some plot point that you'll spend the entire sequence wanting to get back to.

How about you work on some episodes?

There's been like no episodes this year (nearly all of which have sucked dick) and there were no eps last year because of the strike.

According to wikipedia there's like 20 episodes finished and done just sitting on the shelf. The ESB parody was pushed until Fall and the Cleveland show (which was to have debuted in January) is now pushed until next year.

What the fark is up?!

This would also be awesome.

They would achieve a new form of meta-referential humor if, 10 minutes in, they suddenly go 'Ladies and Gentleman, Andy Kaufmann" and they just have an animated Kaufmann come out and read "The Great Gatsby" for the rest of the movie.

Pertifly: Seth MacFarlane scares me lately

he scares me because people actually find him funny. I'm completely confused how the show has supposedly gone downhill since returning to the air as it was never all that funny. I'm also not sure how American Dad is now getting a reputation of being better than Family Guy. At best, it's not nearly as annoying as Family Guy. But both show's jokes can be summed up as:

- "it's funny because he talks funny!"
- "lol pubes!"
- [insert 80s reference]. That's the joke.

I dunno, I think South Park can still be good when they aren't in Libertarian preachy mode.

Even the queefs episode had some good bits. "We go in, we killlll, we no talk, we KILLLLLL!"

If you saw the "Bailout" scene this season in South Park, you'd still be laughing about it. fark I watched that like 8 times in a row, nearly pissed myself laughing.

Family Guy has turned to shiat. American Dad does it all better: references, comedy, offensiveness, violence, and political stuff, all better then Family Guy.

Seriously, Family Guy is a big pile of crap. Best recent episode I can remember is the one where Peter thought his doctor raped him.

American Dad is just as good as Simpsons, South Park, and King of the Hill.

Nothing is as good as 3-8 season Simpsons though. That shiat is quality television (one reason was because they had people on there who have moved on to make excellent things).

King of the Hill is sub-par at best. Hardly the top of the line for animated comedy. Simpsons was okay, but never truly great. American Dad, Family Guy, and South Park have all had their moments- sometimes multiple.

It is a treason upon humour to say that Simpsons and King of the Hill represent top of the line comedy. We need to end this tomfoolery of spirit within the American TV audiences that those two shows are examples of excellence.

you're kidding me. Simpsons is definitely way past it's prime and South Park can be beyond preachy, but I would pit the worst of both shows against FG or American Dad and Simpsons and South park would easily piss on their remains. Yes, South Park's "A Million Little Fibers" is better than FG and American Dad. Well, slightly, anyway.

I want the drugs you're taking. Simpsons Seasons 2-8, more specifically 4-8, is a show at the top of its game and truly deserving of Best Show Ever praise. Now? Not so much.

Though I will defend King of the Hill as under-rated, it's not entirely undeserving of its criticism.
