For the fourth time in this thread, Beck had the PM guy on to DEBUNK those conspiracy theories. Now I don't watch the show and I don't know if Beck or one of his previous guests had said anything to imply that these conspiracies were real, but nothing in the article implies that.

The concentration camps things is just silly.

Everyone knows that FEMA's purpose is to facilitate the alien invasion in 2012. You know, just like the Mayans predicted.

tchamber: Sweet Jesus Glenn Beck is a twit.

I have watched Glen Beck one time, and this was like a week or so ago. At that time he was talking about these FEMA camps and, other then being kind of annoying, the only thing that he had said about them was that they weren't real

Seriously, You people that think you know what people are all about but don't ever investigate are the twits. This goes for people who say, "Oh it's from Drudge!" or "FOX NEWS IS EVIL!"

I only wish we had some camps for people like you.

Concentrations Camps in USA (new window) Explain the Air Force train and the Black Helicopter, Glenn.

Just Google "FEMA CAMPS" and check the results.

Please tell me you're kidding. That video has to be the stupidest thing I've ever seen.

1. All federal facilities (this is an Amtrak repair shop) have fences and gates to control entry, because of a certain fella named Tim McVeigh and a certain group called Al Qaeda. They are potential targets because they're federal facilities.

2. It's a train repair facility. Do you think the Air Force has its own train repair facilities, or do they send them to the Amtrak shop?

3. All helicopters are black beyond a certain distance, depending on visibility. That looked like a random traffic chopper, or possibly a cop helicopter.

The stuff about the "Red Zone" around the railroad tracks is just too stupid for words. Has this idiot never seen basic safety markings in an industrial facility before? It's a red zone because that's where the choochoos are, and they can run over you.

Rubberband Girl: Then things got weird when some guy started ranting about how cable boxes are "mind control devices" and that we should all pull our kids out of college because they were being brainwashed, at which point a woman off-camera shouts "BURN ALL BOOKS" (hence the reason someone posted it to my site). Some guy off-camera asked if she was serious and she said she was, that those "brain washing books" in college classes were teaching our kids about "that evolution crap."

Meanwhile, I'm betting the guys representing the Constitutional Party and the Libertarians were thinking, "Well, so much for this conversation."

If so, then as always they missed a perfect opportunity to sieze the conversation back, to join the grown-up conversation, to contrast themselves from the kooks, by politely but unequivocally calling out the kookery as the kookery that it is.

Perhaps they're uncomfortably aware of exactly who inhabits very wide fringes (if not the majorities) of their own parties.

True, but at least with Gitmo we knew about it the entire time. Most of the tinfoil hattery is/was "THEY'RE MAKING SECRET BASES RIGHT HERE IN THE US AND ARE GOING TO ROUND UP US CITIZENS!" like the Haliburton prison thing earlier in this thread. Conspiracy theories are usually about a dubious government secret, not something shady that we all know about.

I saw the Popular mechanics editors up against the guys that produced "loose change" and they debated the authenticity of the official 9/11 explanation.

I seem to remember the guys from loose change getting the upper hand because the guys from popular mechanics weren't really saying much about the "other" evidence that was presented by loose change. They just picked a few things that decided they could debunk and left the other questions still hanging in the air.

Of course one of the dudes from Loose Change was getting all emotional and flustered, which really didn't help his case, but it also didn't help that the PM guys weren't really trying to respond any of the things they didn't cover in their report.

Well, on the other hand, I have seen a this-ain't-no-shiat booga-booga conspiracy story grow around a real live USAP that's used as a training camp.

For a while, it was featured regularly on Coast to Coast, ATS and Jeff Rense. Grant you, if you didn't know what they were talking about, it would have been hard to identify under the 'noise'. The facility - think of it as a really specific type of MOUT trainer - was one of the best uses of wasted taxpayer money I've ever seen, and somewhere I hope someone got an attaboy for it. You paid out a gazillion tax dollars to build this thing, and it was scrapped even as it was completed. And there it languished, but it had to be staffed around the clock. One day, someone really bright, dunnahoo, said "Hey, hot damn, we got a (thing) just sitting right there, and you can't see it at all from anywhere nearby, and it's already fenced in three rings deep, and it's eating boucoup tax dollars just existing. Even better, since the grounds are so farking big (maybe 1000 acres?) no-one will see while we jump in at night. And since it's a completed [thing] and it's functional, we can staff it with real live [people] from [branch] and they can pretend to be running the place during the assault! Even better, we can run both defensive actions and offensive actions at the same time, using different units!"

Thus was born the most totally accurate MOUT-ish model of a [thing] that you could have asked for.

So, they spiffed up the fencing, ran out the locals who had been cutting holes in the fence to go hunting in the fall, placed geosensors around the perimeters, mounted all sorts of recording devices for playing back attacks and defenses later for analysis, and lo! a really cool training facility was borne. They also put in some troop support facilities, and in order not to drive down the main roads with Lowes trucks, they choppered in the building materials at night, and since the soil is rocky, they did some night demolition preparing the foundation.

Well, the story suddenly sprang up about the "black helicopters" hovering around town at night, and the "UFO tunnels" being dug (ala Dulce of course) to house the aliens that would be taking over the town soon. A few townies decided to force their way into the place at the front gate, only to discover that fat ol' Fred who used to be there was now a Wackenhut. And a few guys who "knew the secret hole in the fence" were met by intense guys who "spoke in roosky" to each other. So not only were there aliens, aliens living right under our town, in tunnels! But there's Rooskies too! No doubt part of the Trilateral plot to internationalize the US, in concert with tunnel-living aliens!

Well, you can't stay on base all the time, and eventually some of the guys went into town to do whatever, and the townies started spotting "strangers" many of whom had mustaches, so they couldn't be military. And damn if they didn't "speak a furrin language" to each other at times! MORE rooskies! And they wouldn't answer if asked who their mamandaddies were!

A real projection-fest started, and people were seeing all sorts of things - UFOs, black triangles, beams from space, code transmissions on the CB (actually, that might have happened as a joke), and "the incident in town" which did happen but wasn't what IT got blown up to be either.

So, in some of these things, there may be a small yet difficult to extract nugget of original truth, shrouded in misperception and wound about by people projecting their fears onto it.

well you sound like a psychotic moron, so you've got that going for you.

it's gas station surveillance, with that paticular side of the pentagon in it's view, and the video was privately owned by the gas station owner. They come and snatch it away and *ta-da* the only video evidence of what happened to that side of the pentagon gone forever.

"oh the scary government hates video tapes, so they take the only video evidence of a national tragedy taking place because they don't like video tapes"

I believe an explanation should be given when the government takes something that is privately owned. There was none. They just took the video and left.

There's also the fact that the hole that was made in the wall is not the same size as what a plane crashing into it should have left. It has more in common with a missle explosion.

watch loose change, which is what I was talking about originally, before you get all "whharrrgarbl"
