Depending on how hot it exactly was in there, and if the lights were on at night when the baby should be sleeping...

It's plants growing. Not a meth lab.

Stupid to be sure, but I can't muster up much think of the children outrage.

I don't have any kids. Is that the secret to raising kind children?

But I thought you could get an energy savings tax credit for doing this ...

Four people have been arrested in a raid at a home on Farrows Street after police say they tracked a suspicious package from Texas.

This is the only thing that I'm curious about. What was "suspicious" about this package?
They probably weren't receiving weed via the UPS guy. They seem to have an ample supply on hand.

Perhaps it was a sunlight. Those are very suspicious, and to be quite honest, I don't think your average citizen has the proper jusdgement to own such a potentially dangerous device.

No shiat. The little bastards are expensive. Gotta do something to support them.

Where I live, it seems that every young person with an infant sells or grows weed. The prevailing wage is low, the cost of living is high. +1 for initiative.

Im guessing the "suspicious" package was probably some grow lights or some other such things people might order to aid in the cultivation of the cheeba. I remember a story a while back about a dude ordering a grow kit to an empty house because he knew the police would show up and raid it.

How is babby warmed?

First, lemme say to the worriers out there that they have little lungs and don't cut into one's stash, much. 'til they get bigger, anyway.

Down at the cannabis grower's supply, they can sell you a carbon-filter apparatus for your indoor atmosphere. They start at about $1/4K, and represent a wise investment. One, two of these babies, and it would be hard to smell the kid, regardless of the vintage of his diaper or the state of his digestive condition!

While I agree with you on principle, 28 pounds is a lot more weight than it takes just keeping mom & dad happy at night. These fools was dealers.

one cow teet for the babys milk, one cow pie for daddys... Well I am not one to incriminate.

2009-04-10 10:09:11 AM
And yet the word "nursery" applies both to children and to plants, doesn't it?

2009-04-10 10:12:57 AM
On a serious note, many people are allergic and shouldn't live in the same environment with growing cannabis plants. This baby was probably on his way to leather-lung status, but some people do get flu-like symptoms when exposed for long periods, I'm told.

Yeah, right. You wouldn't want any trees outside either.

Wait. What country was this in again? A grow light will lead cops to your house? How do they know you aren't growing rosemary, or tomatoes indoors? Why would that be sufficient info to raid a house?

I am not a user, but this irrational fear of a farking plant, and all the taking of liberty and property that is perpetrated in the name of it just makes me angry.

2009-04-10 10:51:01 AM
Because NOBODY puts baby in the corner of a grow-op!

2009-04-10 10:55:09 AM
What is really wild is the disparity in enforcement pressure by region. Here in Illinois we have places like Central Chicago where the cops seem more concerned with things like FentanylTM than recreational herbs, and where money can seem to make (Cook Co.) cases 'fall through the cracks,' to rural counties that seem to think nothing with of meting out the full nominal penalties to the few wretches they catch, rather than use them as the high-ball talking points for which the seem to have been intended.

2009-04-10 10:55:56 AM
sorry, 'they'

2009-04-10 11:30:27 AM
Grow lights aren't suspicious at all.

Hundreds of thousands of aquarium owners and organic garden growers would be raided then.

Marijuana seeds sure. But cops really can't be bothered usually, and USPS or other shippers also usually don't give a shiat what's in a package.

You're doing it wrong. Too much heat = BAD

Hey depending on how you have the ventilation setup, this could be a good way to warm the house with excess heat. Many light setups have a seperate ventilation that just cools the bulbs. This is often a closed system from the rest of the room.

So? We can't all run a grow operation, where do you think the rest of us get ours?

And besides, how many articles have we seen here touting the antibiotic effects of various cannabinoids? For all we know, the plants could be good for babby. Or they could be systematically weakening babby's immune system and breeding new super-strains of bacteria in the nursury.

/who knows

You might just be growing rosemary but they can't know that for sure until they break open your front door, corral your family, empty all your drawers and closets and possibly shoot your dog.

Why do you hate justice, anyway?
