Just gonna throw in with the "hope the girl gets some counselling and the mom and mom's bf get some serious PITA prison time" club. I mean, aside from stunned and uncomfortable gallows humour, there isn't a lot else to say.

Poor girl.

2009-04-03 12:24:33 PM
Either that was poorly written, or her story seems fishy.

First, her pepsi was spiked with rum. Exactly how much rum does it take to make someone pass out very quickly?

Also, tylenol pm does not work immediately. She said she immediately fell asleep, but then pretended to be asleep until he made a move? Which one was it? Why pretend to be asleep and just not stand up and go into her room and lock the door?

Dont get me wrong. I am NOT trolling at all. But finding a empty bottle of rum and a bottle of Tylenol PMs is not enough to convict someone of anything. We have absolutely no idea what this girl is like. For all we know, she could be out for attention and made the whole thing up.

who she drugged

Whom she drugged. The daughter is the object of the sentence. You should have learned this when you were 13.

/And the object of boyfriend's desire

There's actually discussion amongst the powers-that-be to remove the whole who/whom rule from grammar, precisely because most use it incorrectly.

RminusQ: squirrelflavoredyogurt: Groover McToober: The mother probably got the idea to have her child raped while reading the bible.

It's full of good stuff like that.
----------------------------------
No no no, you have it all wrong. Job's daughters raped him, you know, cause they were afraid they were the last people on earth and needed to repopulate it the very night that their mother died (well was turned into a pillar of salt). Oh and job was apparently too drunk to wake up while being raped by both his daughters but not too drunk to get it up.

I hate it when you damn atheists get this stuff wrong. Read your bibles!
----------------------------------
Speaking of getting it wrong, I believe that's Lot you're thinking of.

/is an atheist
//knows you're being sarcastic
///what a bunch of farksticks in this article

----------------------------------

I have no idea who's being sarcastic and who isn't, but BOTH Groover and Rminus are right. Well, Squirrel is right, too, but about a different story altogether.

The story to which I believe Groover was referring took place BEFORE the city was destroyed, when Lot offered the mob his daughters instead of his house guests. Thus the phrase "have her child raped," which implies a third-party rapist.

SundaesChild He got drunk and passed out and one of his sons saw him naked, which for some reason was a sin. I never quite understood that one.

That was just alame reason God gave the Jews to not eat ham.

Allow me to play Devil's advocate.

i271.photobucket.com

Whee! That was fun.

Now, does this girl have any actual proof that all this took place? It's all too easy these days to get pissed at mom and her BF, make up some atrocious allegations against them, and have them sent up the river without any real evidence. Possession of empty rum bottles and Tylenol PM is not a crime.

I was more concerned about the "I love my daughter with all my heart" gif. If that myspace page is any indication, her boyfriend probably thought he was farking a 13 year old all along.

I wonder who she is leading around in cuffs...

Anyways, cases like this make the whole Buddhist thing I am doing REALLY hard some times. The part of me that forgets mercy and compassion wants to club them repeatedly while explaining in a calm voice just how incredibly wrong what they were doing was...

Have we blamed this all on the boyfriend yet?

2009-04-03 04:24:01 PM
The boyfriend was probably either fixed or unable to have kids and didn't tell anyone, but blamed the women for not being able.

Hmmm.

who she drugged

Whom she drugged. The daughter is the object of the sentence. You should have learned this when you were 13.

Are you sure about that?

"if you can replace a word with "he" or "she," then it is the subject of the sentence and you should use "who." If you can replace the word with "him" or "her," it is the object and you should use "whom." You might need to rephrase the sentence to make this work."

SundaesChild: I never quite understood that one

From what I understand, it has homosexual/incestuous overtones. Either that, or Ham was mocking his father (broke a commandment) when he told his brothers about it.

Well, the commandments weren't given yet, but it was still a bad thing even before God told people it was bad.

I hate to say it, but I'm going to anyway. I seriously bet that the 13 year old made it up. She probably propositioned her mothers BF and was turned down. She framed her mother and the BF for this vile scheme because she was pissed that she didn't get what she wanted. I KNOW 13 year olds who have done just this sort of thing for revenge.

That isn't to say that society isn't messed up, but just that there are A LOT of sick manipulative teen girls who will go to extremes to punish others.

2009-04-03 10:07:15 PM
This is absolutely horrific, but I don't even want to start thinking about what plans the girl's "mother" had to ensure that if the girl did get pregnant, how was she going to ensure the girl stayed pregnant. Was she planning on locking the girl up during the pregnancy and denying her even the most basic pre-natal care, or is she delusional enough that she thought once the girl got pregnant, she'd go along with her "mother's" plans?

2009-04-03 11:29:08 PM
Glad we got that out of the way.

2009-04-04 03:38:22 AM
Aside from the whole "drugging and raping" thing, was mom really so wrong here? What if instead, Mom simply had one of her daughter's eggs extract, then fertilized using her boyfriend's sperm in a lab, followed by having the fertilized egg implanted into her own body?

Still sick, or just weird?
