So, we've only been printing ourselves into debt for the last week?

Dude, lay off .... whatever the fark you're doing. Get help.

And now from Fox news, the new show for kids, Uncle Glenn and his crazy friends, starring... Glenn Beck, and Glenn Beck, and Glenn Beck, and Glenn Beck, and Glenn Beck. All his personalities in one show!

/fabulous

Glenn Beck never graduated college and spent most of his career spinning UB40 records and addicted to drugs and alcohol. Therefore, his explanation of anything more complex than how to ride the bus or how to dress yourself should not be taken seriously.

2009-03-25 08:23:13 PM
Can't bring myself to watch Glenn Beck.

2009-03-25 08:26:56 PM
Are his eyes spinning in his head, or is it me?

2009-03-25 08:27:18 PM
Sometimes I wonder if Glenn Beck is a robot built in Father Coughlin's lab.

2009-03-25 08:38:20 PM
He's like a real-life, retarded version Howard Beale. How long until he tries to kill somebody--or himself--on camera?

2009-03-25 08:38:24 PM
Glen Beck making Beeker look articulate since, well since whenever he first opened his mouth.

2009-03-25 08:43:48 PM
I actually enjoyed watching him every now and then while he was still on MSNBC. I'm not sure if he was holding back while he was there or if working for Fox News tends to make people batshiat crazy, but he's intolerable to listen to now.

nvmac: So, we've only been printing ourselves into debt for the last week?

Remember, Republicans running deficits is a good thing, particularly if the deficit means sinking money into an unproductive hole in the ground, a strategic initiative that never pans out, or to blow a small country back to the Stone Age. Running deficits to try to fix the economy and to help the people is a bad thing.

Mama always told me, "Life is like a box of chocolate dead fish."

I like a reasoned, rational, intelligent opposition debate. Glenn Beck is none of those things.

GAT_00: particularly if the deficit means sinking money into an unproductive hole in the ground, a strategic initiative that never pans out, or to blow a small country back to the Stone Age. Then paying 10 times the going rate to rebuild it. Not to mention literally handing out packs of US currency from backpacks and trucks to the tune of 12 billion dollars (8 billion of which are now unaccounted for)

Fixed that for ya!

Ah thanks. Like that much better. Gotta make sure the truth is kept since so many Repbs try to distort it these days.

It's 9 Billion that is unaccounted for.

Please let him eat a .45 on the air so we can all watch.

I can't wait till he has a meltdown on camera and he has to be dragged off stage in a straight jacket. Until that video gets greenlighted, I won't bother seeing anything he has to say.

2009-03-25 10:18:27 PM
I guess Olbermann really wasn't being hyperbolic when he said Beck was nuts.
That would explain his viewers; either they're nuts, waiting to see him crack, or both.

I think you mean Headline News (or whatever they're calling themselves these days). I don't think Glenn Beck was ever on MSNBC.

He's sharing the stage with Hannity and O'Reilly. It requires you to turn the crazy up to 11 in order to get noticed there.

According to the conservitards, the economy would be in great shape, if only Obama hadn't been elected. The trillions of dollars lost in Iraq don't matter for sh*t, apparently.

Dead fish or not.

I imagine this show captures 100% of the posters at the RaptureReady forums in its viewership.

I've lost my ability to tolerate his nonsense.

Really, this guy is trying WAY too hard to "out-douche" Rush and O'Reilly.

The amount spent on the bailouts exceeds the amounts spent on all wars combined (including such events as the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Civil War, the Spanish American War, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan). Glen Beck is nuts. He is also the only person stupid enough to tell people what really is happening on national television.

I'm wondering: were the gloves to protect Beck from the fish, or the fish from Beck?

No, they don't. Mormons, like Catholics, are post-millienialists, not pre-millenialists.

How much cash was involved in all wars combined?

Beck should have taken into consideration the fact that he wrapped the dead fish in the first place. So he is both the crazy and the stupid.

So when will Glenn Beck break out the action figures for his explanations?

He wasn't on MSNBC, he was on CNN. They may have run replays of his program on CNBC or at least shortened version of it.

And that means... what exactly? If something costs more than all those wars combined, it's automatically wrong?

Oh, and I'd wager that your little comparison doesn't take inflation into account. Because the Iraq war alone is around $1 trillion in straight-up budget appropriations.

I think he was on CNN, no? Or was he on MSNBC before that?

In any case, I have yet to see him say something original. He sounds like he listens to Rush and regurgitates whatever he can remember, which isn't much.

So if Obama becoming President and the current bailout is the thing that will bring about the Armageddon, why aren't the Republicans/conservatives heaping tons of blame on Bush for bringing this about? It was Bush's criminal actions that made a Democratic President and Democratic majority in Congress possible and it was Bush's reckless stupidity that wrecked the economy making the bailout happen. If Bush was only half the clusterfark he was, the elections would have probably been different.

Glenn Beck is a real-life troll. I will bet every dollar on me he went home the night before his first show on Fox, had a couple drinks, caught the tail end of a Steven Colbert skit and had the brilliant idea to be even more over the top than that.

I'm not sure if Fox has realized it or not. They probably have, and are keeping him around just because it makes the rest of their programming look sane in comparison.

I mean, honestly, Colbert can just skip Mondays and play highlights of Beck and have a hilarious show. Half an hour of the giant shifty eyes and no audio would elicit more laughter than South Park or whatever follows Colbert.

Listening to Glenn Beck talk about economics reminds me of a 12 year old talking about life. He thinks he knows what he's talking about, but he's really too immature to know he doesn't know shiat.

I hate articles that blatantly have to oversimplify something in order to try and make a point that doesn't really exist.

Why does anyone give a flying f*ck what Glenn Beck thinks?

This analogy didn't even make sense. Instead of making arguments against Keynesian economic theory, he's making a simple populist rant about "da gubmin't be PRANTIN' MONEH!"

No rational debate over the outcomes of alternative options. No, to Glenn Beck fiat currency's nature is undebatably insolvent. It has more basis in the cockamamie conspiracy theories propagated by YouTube than in the works of scholars.
