Ouch.

jalopnik.com

Also, he got greedy. I can't believe the morans I read about on Fark and other palces who think of some sort of confidence scam or fraud... and continue it far past it's prime. Madoff is a great example. Take the first decent cash you get and run. Move to Sweden, learn the language, invest in legitmate causes, and lay around your luxury bungalo naked with supermodels working the balls AND the shaft. Never speak of it to anyone.

Contrary to what you may have thought, the Ariel Atom costs around $70,000, not $7.2 million

And not one of them was in the Caymans or Switzerland? farkin' A, when will people learn that before buying ANYTHING with stolen money, incorporate in the Caymans or the Netherlands, then buy everything in the corporations name. Sweet Jesus, how can someone be smart enough to pull off a massive scam without being smart enough to properly hide the money?

An office space quote would be good here.

Anyway, it's the stupid ones who get caught. I'm sure there are lots of people who are smart about it and Apple has never found out about them.

Or, as you said put enough insulation so that they can't be touched.

However, I will keep your suggestion in mind if I happen to come across a scheme where I can steal large amounts of money (not physically steal with threat of violence but steal like this guy).

Ok, if he's selling them below retail (79.00 from Apple)... Call it, say, 60.00, 60x9000=540000... Wait what?

Math doesn't add up..

The shuffle is only $75 retail, and TFA said he sold below retail. The amount of crap they seized adds up quickly, too

Depends on how long he's been doing it. The Shuffles used to be more expensive than that.

Also, we don't know how much below retail. $74 would be below retail.

Piracy is awesome, but you gotta enact stiffer penalties on the successful ones if you wanna make them decent pirates.

Yes, yes it is.
It's also completely unrelated to the article, and is clearly whining by a butthurt neocon.

Today's Republicans remind me a lot of the fights in DBZ.
Lots of posing, lots of screaming, and lots of impossible craters. And every time you think you've seen the most ridiculous shiat ever, you're wrong.
