First, surround the offending bovine with hickory chips then set them ablaze. After about 6 hours, man yourself with ginsus, a water cannon briming with A1 sauce and go to it.

That's what I'd do anyway...

amature sacrificing. I think I prefer western cults, like christians, that leave the sacraficing to the professionals.

Baldactor--I am completely HTML disabled. Very sad. I've written Drew three times, no response. I think it had something to do with that damn quizzical dog fiasco, but perhaps I'll never know. Do you know what you did?

Anybody want to GIS up a quizzical bull picture?

This one time at band camp ... errrr...

This one time, while camping in Wyoming, two bulls escaped from a ranch adjacent to our campsite. I was woken up in my tent at around 6 am by this heavy sniffing/breathing sound and big foot thumps right next to my head. Of course I was scared shiatless. I have no idea why they didn't trample my shiatty little tent, but it took the rancher a good 90 minutes to find his bulls, all of which I spent pissing my pants in silence.

My point? Kill 'em all.

No, the box is checked. I'm putting line breaks after every sentence in this post. THey aren't working. It doesn't show the tags; it just swallows them, like an HTML black hole. Very frustrating, very heartbreaking.

Any ideas on how to get back on Drew's/admins'/mods' good sides?

Forbidden? Why forbidden?

Okay, a little cultural info for you:

Muslims still practices animal sacrifice, though they limit it to one particular holiday a year: Eid al Adha, the "Feast of Sacrifice". The holiday commemorates the Biblical account of the sacrifice of Isaac (according to the Jewish Bible) or Ishmael (according to the Koran).

For those of you unfamiliar with the story, the Lord tested Abraham's faith by demanding he sacrifice his son to him. Abraham went along with it, and was to the point of sticking the kid with the knife when the Big Guy sent down one of His angels to stop him. The angel showed Abraham a ram caught in a thicket, and it ended up on the altar instead. Since then, up until the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in the first century AD, the Jews practiced animal sacrifice as a more "humane" alternative to the more bloodthirsty pagan tribal rituals around them.

The Arabs picked up on this practice, and Muhammed formalized it in Islamic worship. Once a year a Muslim family is expected to slaughter an animal (usually a sheep or a goat, but if you've got the means, a cow will do), and give the meat away to the poor as an act of charity. It's a rather messy holidy, but decent. Just don't let the PeTA folks find out...
