Meh. Seems like a waste of a perfectly good exotic.

I guess this just goes to show that you still can't buy class.

Megain: i wonder where he bought it...

Actually, it kind of looks nice in a showroom with good lighting, polished to perfection with chrome-ish window tint.

But out in the wild? Looks greasy and idiotic.

It must be nice to spend 1/2 a million American on such frivolous things.

FTFA: Arsenal defender William Gallas has upped the ante on redefining bling by purchasing not just a Mercedes McLaren, the fastest production car in the world and a piece of machinery so ostentatious Lamborghinis turn to Ferraris when it passes and whisper "Slut!"...

that's no showroom, it's just a better place for pics of it. hell, i managed this unstaged shot in the circle drive of the marriot in downtown st. louis

/i have no idea if the car in dubai and this one are the same, but they sure look pretty close

I was sad when Gallas left Chelsea for Arsenal. Now, not so much.

Yeah, the score line right now is not helping any.

I'm guessing the author screwed up and thought this was a McLaren F1, which was the fastest production car in the world before the Bugatti, and is supposedly still the fastest naturally-aspirated car.

And even the Veyron isn't the fastest anymore. That honour now goes to the SSC Ultimate Aero TT, beating the Veyron by 4mph, at 257mph.

Yet another example to prove that money can't buy taste.

There are far better cars available for that kind of money, some for a lot less. Chroming it just pushes things over the edge.

2009-03-17 11:48:45 PM
You know what, Gallas? There's a reason you lost the captainship.

Nope, but in chrome you want larger flatter panels...the Mercedes is too sleek to work well in chrome.

/would prefer a 68 Lincoln Continental 4-door chromed over either of those.
