That is the kind of change that gets to the root of the issue.

There could be some issues that stem from this idea.

You're all nuts.

2009-03-10 04:40:45 PM
This is just a scam - the enlightened, nature-loving corporate chiefs at Sierra Pacific Industries and Pacific Lumber continually reassure me that clear-cutting is the most environmentally beneficial means of logging, and I've got no reason to doubt them, now do I?

Not gonna try a pun in this thread. As my father once said to me, it's better to be xylem and be thought a fool, than speak up and remove all doubt.

Did the mods wheel-o-auto-greenlight land on "pun" this evening? I submit an Eddie-Izzard-referencing headline about the "death calendar" shooting and it gets voted down. I find an awesome 8-minute rocking cover of "Crazy Mary" with a dueling organ and electric guitar and ... no. But this? This gets greenlit?!?

Eh, maybe I'm just getting bogged down in details and missing the big picture. Focusing on minutea when I should be taking a longer view. Gah, what's that called?

Help me out here ....

On a semi-related note, I was talking to the gf the other day about how many jobs could be created by going out into the oceans and finding those 'pooling places' where garbage accumulates and then pulling that shiat up and recycling it.

As to this, I am for helping regenerate growth as needed, but will Brazil and other nations even try and stop these logging companies from back dooring the process?

Brazil and back door are often associated with wood.
