Give it a couple days to let the nutballs come out of hiding again. I'm sure this will be attributed to some crazy bullshiat.

Ironic indeed.

Yes, actually IRONIC could have been used exquisitely here. But, then again, the failure to use the IRONIC tag is itself SAD. Hmmmmm....

Very sad indeed.

some of the wording is a little too coincidental.

it will vanish, and 23 minutes later

the shuttle's blazing re-entry

A couple weeks back I saw an article on here sort of critical of the Chinese space program because they were planning on using military to man their missions. But viewing the profile of the challenger crew I notice they are all military people. What gives with that?

please please please don't let this devolve into another 'ironic' discussion.

Dark_Clark, most of the NASA astronauts started out as military pilots, or are still active. When my son talked to the Airforce recruiter he learned they have as many career paths in aerospace as regular 'air patrol'. I'm NOT being insensitive when I say most of these individuals have been trained and face life and death situations daily in their jobs, this is just a great tragedy. Now hopefully from a great tragedy comes great advancements.

I dont mean this as some sort of badjoke - actually not as a joke at all -. But I think this topic should have the ironic tag.

The news was all over this possibility, yesterday, making reference to the Israeli astronaut as a terrorist target...this is a huge coinkydink.

The word is spelled

Not coinkydink

Wow, that's kind of... creepy.
