Kids don't feel like they have the right to turn off their phone and not respond," said Julie Kahn-Schaye, program director for the dating-violence intervention program at Transition House in Cambridge. "If this is a really violent situation, if you don't respond, that could be grounds for more violence. It becomes this leash in a way."

Are you kidding? i dont even answer the door when people knock on it.

Im not home...

For every 60 minutes walking down the NYC sidewalk 55 of them are behind some idiot texter.

WTF? Didn't anyone teach these kids about screening your calls?

Yeah, cause it's not like they don't adore the attention.

Same here, anyone that comes to see me that I would want to see notifies me in advance, even if its just a "hey Im right down the street, cool if I drop by?".

Ive been sacked by kids selling crap, adults selling crap, and religious wackos way too many times to open that door unless I know whos on the other side first.

People have been bullied for thousands of years, yet they plan on changing everything with some meaningless rules? I wish the people that are running these schools had brains.

My little sister had a guy who stalked her via text-message. Creepy little farker.

His number somehow wound up on Craigslist's casual encounters section, in no less than eight cities, from fifteen different overseas IP addresses, soliciting perversions of such myriad varieties that not even fanfiction has classified them all.

His parents got an $800 bill and confiscated his phone. Problem solved.

My sister still has no idea that it was big-sister and her tech-support-coworker posse that eighty-sixed the little weasel. We still laugh about it and talk about going into business like the people on 'Leverage.'

Also, it appears that 'shaved oral play' is not the bestseller we thought it was. 'BDSM food fetish, bring own onion dip' did better.
