Remember when TO refused to play for the Ravens, and all the talk was of him going to Atlanta? How much worse could TO have made the Falcons situation?

In a league full of criminals, thugs, and steroid users, I don't really understand where all the Owens hate is derived from. Sure, drama seems to follow the guy around wherever he goes, but he's never done anything to deserve such vilification.

T. O. O. J. ?

I agree with what Jerry Sullivan had to say about this:

Maybe it'll blow up in the Bills' faces and they'll be the laughingstock of the league. Oh, wait a minute. They already were the joke of the NFL. So what the heck. At least in the short term, signing T.O. makes the Bills relevant again.

Why not give it a shot? What do they have to lose? Tranquility and calm in the locker room, among a bunch of nice guys who haven't won a damn thing?

Seriously. What do the Bills have to lose here? They've finished 7-9 three straight years, have four straight losing seasons, haven't made the playoffs since 1999, have started shifting some home games to Toronto, and have an octogenarian owner who may keel over any day now resulting in the team being sold to someone who will re-locate it.

Things really can't get much worse for the Bills. What's the worst that can happen? The T.O. experiment fails and the Bills miss the playoffs yet again? That was probably going to happen anyway.

2009-03-08 12:28:19 AM
hmm. as a lifelong bills fan and a TO hater, im torn. but, i guess it cant hurt. whats the worst that can happen, we go 7-9 for a fourth straight year? or miss the playoffs for the 11th straight year? i guess we shall see how it pans out.

Doc Daneeka: I agree with what Jerry Sullivan had to say about this:

I gotta say, Sully was probably the last person I thought would support this move. I literally told my dad earlier today "I GOTTA see what Jerry Sullivan writes in the paper tomorrow."

Well, we already know the best that can happen with Jauran (sp?).

Yeah, that's pretty much how it works. His first game in Philly, he caught three TDs. He could have owned the city at that point. It went south pretty fast after the loss in the Super Bowl.

Well they say he's pretty calm in his first year with a new team. Which is probably why the Bills signed him to a 1 year deal.

Didn't even consider the soft-spoken Trent Edwards as a potential "unassuming QB under-the-bus-throwing candidate."

He's a loudmouth idiot, which granted isn't too uncommon in professional sports, but he's also a loudmouth idiot who has the ability to produce, but doesn't in the clutch, which really is the worst kind of loudmouth idiot. How good he is and how good he thinks he is are very different, and not in a good way. He once said something along the lines of him being second only to Jerry Rice as the best receiver ever to play.

LOL

I like the move. Gives Buffalo a little bit of balls. Definitely will see how Jauron fares with it.

I think the Cowboys might draft a QB first round, if their guy falls. Just a hunch. Bring on the draft!

Brady to Moss vs. Edwards to TO?

Is this a joke?

Please FSM, don't let these matchups go into the Sunday/Monday night time slots for the season.

As opposed to loudmouth idiots who post on internet forums, producing in the clutch.

ummm...superbowl 39? 9 receptions for 122 yards? while playing with a rod in his leg?

i hate TO as much as any self respecting eagles fan, but no one can say that TO didn't man up in the superbowl.

Now who are you going to sign after you're 1-5?
