Why not? One crook is as good as the next. At least he's an entertaining crook.

2001-09-03 08:42:00 AM
He could also run for the French presidency. He qualifies for French citizenship (born on (former) French territory) so if he applies, it will automatically be granted and every French citizen, wether born or naturalised, can run for the presidency.

2001-09-03 08:47:49 AM
Appie: He would qualify on other grounds as well...

2001-09-03 08:56:56 AM
NewsMax wishes Clinton was still president. That's why they keep talking about him.

2001-09-03 10:50:40 AM
No doubt after Bush Jr. destroys the economy we'll be begging him to run again...

2001-09-03 10:50:57 AM
"I've actually very much enjoyed having a private life." Since when has he had a "private" life with all the media coverage he's had after leaving office?

2001-09-03 11:05:20 AM
The president doesn't have the power to destroy the economy.

2001-09-03 11:19:31 AM
As I recall, many conservative pundits wanted the 22nd Amendment repealed in 1987. Do you think they still want it repealed?

2001-09-03 11:33:39 AM
newsmax....

They ripped this idea off of some tabloid article which was posted a while ago (not the one about his friends in hollywood doing something, there was another one from like WWNews or something)

Newsmax just pedles rumors and propaganda, and won't let anything die.

It is on that note, that I announce that I am running for president of the world. If elected, I vow to kick the shiat out of every fundie, conservative, etc., that keeps stupid rumors like this alive.

Vote for me, because I tell you my bullshiat up front, unlike the other ones

2001-09-03 11:36:43 AM
He has my vote.

2001-09-03 11:38:34 AM
Never mind that the US Constitution doesn't allow this...

2001-09-03 11:53:27 AM
This idiot ruined the economy and this county's morality...

2001-09-03 12:27:52 PM
The economy was doing the dive three to four months before GW took office. Where do you dolts that think GW has screwed the economy get your info? Learn to find the information for yourself and do not depend upon the farking media for it.
Clinton would have made this place an oligarchy if at all possible

WALKEN If the actions of one person can change your morality, you didn't have it in the first place

Condit for vp.Now that would be Farking funny

2001-09-03 01:18:46 PM
I once read somewhere that people voted for the guy they'd most like to sit down and have a beer with. I can't imagine anymore more entertaining to pound a few with than Clinton. You know he'd have all the waitresses after him and you'd be sure to catch a few just by being his friend!! :)

2001-09-03 01:39:45 PM
Bmr...Well, seeing as how we had a nice surplus that was being used to pay down the deficit under Clinton and now we have nada, I'd say that ole' Shrub has farked things up pretty well.

Now, I'll grant you that the economy was slowing down a bit before Lush took office, but his constant doomsday preaching about a recession didn't help optimism any, and his moronic tax cut has simply sped us along the road to economic disaster.

Personally, if clinton WOULD run again, I would SO vote for him.. anything is better than "dubya's family"... remeber last time? clinton brought us out of the recession caused by bush (not saying he did it all by himself, but by legislation, and some quick wit) he brought it back up...

he was the preisident of the people, he was an actual real person, not a person molded by lobbyists and big companies. The only thing I wish he didn't do was sign the DCMA into law. that's the ONLY gripe i have with him.

2001-09-03 02:04:58 PM
I hope the asshole stays in Harlem with his people.

2001-09-03 02:08:52 PM
didn't they rip this off of an SNL skit?

"I am currently looking for a loophole in the contitution that will allow me run for president for a third time. I mean, look at your choices now. Bush and Gore... What are they gonna do if something like Kosovo happens again? I can just hear Bush now 'That's unacceptabubble', and Gore 'The square of the hypotenuse is--' WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT?? Come on folks, don't you want a fun president?"

something like that any way

2001-09-03 02:16:30 PM
Anyone of you gutless farkers.... if you do not like The Honorable George Walker Bush, either vote against him next time or Leave My fine country... other wise........

SHUT THE fark UP!!!!!

ok i am done ranting

2001-09-03 02:28:18 PM
Yay! if you don't like the leaders, leave. I remember a quote.. "If you don't like me, leave" or as he said it "Wenn Sie mich nicht mögen, weggehen".

As for Clinton running.. if he did pull off something like that, Limbaugh would be in the hospital for cardiac arrest.

Clinton-Carnahan in 2004! If Clinton dies, you get a dead man anyways!

2001-09-03 02:29:45 PM
I didn't farking vote for him this time, so suck on my sweaty nutsuck.

3Horn

And what have you done for your fine country?

Buckshot: Compared to Bush, Clinton is the damn messiah...

I am moved to quote Monty Python's Life of Brian at this moment.

Mrs Cohen: "Now you listen here. HE'S NOT THE MESSIAH! HE'S A VERY NAUGHTY BOY!!!!!!!"

2001-09-03 02:44:27 PM
Sorry to hear my name sake. I did vote against the fool. I voted for gore, who I didn't care much for either. I can biatch and complain about him, I did try to make a difference. and in fact, in my state gore won.

I didn't care much for clinton, but at least he wasn't out of touch, and I didn't have to worry about him pissing other countries off. And with Clinton I didn't really have to worry about getting sent off to some god forsaken country to get killed while I am still in the military, but thankfully I am done in december with my 6 year commitment.

I can't serve and take commands from someone I don't respect, and GW is definatly a man I do not respect.

2001-09-03 02:47:58 PM
3Horn,
Let's think about where the surplus came from?
Yes, tax revenue which decreased due to what?
Thats right again a shrinking economy.
If you go by the magical mystery math that the Dems. use then it would like that GW is at fault. This of course is not the case. Recovery takes time.Reagan cleaned up the economy after Carter thrashed it.Reagan's work came to fruition when what dumbass came into the Oval office? It started to fall apart at the end of his term and again it will take time for it to repair itself.

2001-09-03 02:55:26 PM
well, I am so glad you sheep like to belive everything you read in the papers.... GW is an idiot, Clinton is the man's President...

you are all a bunch of farking sheep!!!

Clinton is a known liar... under Oath no less... and you still love him.... cause you are told to.

Bush has done nothing unbecoming of a President.... has done nothing that signs him as an idiot....
yea, he is the president, because he found a golden ticket in a box of Cracker Jacks.

Come off it and try to think for yourselves....

2001-09-03 02:58:50 PM
Carter thrashed the economy? I thought OPEC did that when they formed an oil embargo against the US.

And what mystery math? It's pretty farking simple for me, if you have X dollars as a surplus, and you give and equal amount "Y" back to the people, then spend equal amount "Z" on increased government spending, you end up with "D" - deficit. Where's the mystery in that?

Of course look who I'm talking about...

"It's obviously a budget, it has lots of numbers"...So does my driver's license, but I'm not going to use it for balancing my checkbook dumbass...

These political discussions are always so entertaining. Someone says the other side's candidate sucks, those who like that candidate resort to personal insults against the original poster, someone else throws in the obligatory "you're all sheep" post. And yet mysteriously, no one learns anything from the exchange.

Look, people, I think Eddie Izzard said it best:

"So, the government lied to the Native Americans for years, and then Bill Clinton lied, and everyone was surprised...feeling a little naive, are we?"

Because it's a 'projected surplus'. Approximately half the projected surplus dissapeared because of the tax cut. The other half dissapeared because tax revenues have not met expectations. You have to remember, the 'projected surplus' was determined using a lot of numbers from before the .com fallout.

You know what really cracks me up? When people go after Clinton because he "ruined the economy and this county's morality." Well, first of all, he didn't ruin the economy, if you people actually think that the economy runs on a what, 15-20 year formula like Bmr68 thinks, then you need to step back and go take your economics 101 class again. However, its the morality that cracks me up. I STILL have no clue exactly what that means. Clinton is not the first president to lie..."read my lips, yadda".....and certainly not the first to get a little nookie in office, so how about you actually turn off the "holier-than-thou" switch, and actually look at how good the country was doing over his 8 years.

2001-09-03 04:06:44 PM
This site - NewsMax - only has the word "news" in it because they PAID to have that domain name. I can call myself Anna Kournikova, but that don't mean I'm her.

Clinton lied. Wow, what a concept! Name a President since the original George W. (that'd be Washinton, just to keep the slow-witted from dropping off the pace here) who hasn't lied.

What did Clinton do? He helped revive an economy that suffered from too much "voodoo" (give the rich more money, and they'll pay their workers more - *snark*) and gave this country a surplus for the first time in decades. Without, I might add, okaying drilling for oil in Alaska or bowing to any of the other big-bizness interests that Dub has managed to allow to "Stinkyface" the Oval Office in his term so far. I'd toast Clinton with a nice glass of water, but unless it's imported, I won't. Not too much into arsenic. I doubt Dub is either, but he'll never drink the water that we do, so why should he care?

Hey, before this rant goes any farther, let me just say this. Clinton responded to a question in a "question and answer" session. He didn't bring it up. And like Someguy said, the ReDubyacans were wanting the two-term limit removed after Reagan was sent to the animatronics lab for an overhaul. So why is this "news"? It isn't. It's just "NewsMax." Take that for what it's worth, and enjoy your tax "rebate".

BP, Can I ask you a question? If your boss came to you and said "I think I'm going to give you a $25,000 bonus this Christmas", but the company was starting to lay off workers at the same time, would you still go and buy a new car because you were expecting to have an extra $25k in 6 months?

The whole morality argument against Clinton is so stupid it's no wonder other countries laugh at us. "Yes, I personally was going to remain a virgin until after my wedding night, but then I heard about what our prez was doing, and now I'm getting oral sex from all my interns...Never mind I'm a straight woman.....The power of suggestion surging from the oval office crumpled my will.....can't hold on to personal beliefs........" Some one else's sex life has NO FARKING relation to your own. You are still free to do who ever you like how ever you like no matter what you prez does...Okay, unless you live in states with sodomy laws. People say they want a Prez who represents the people...Well HELLO! Last time I checked by any poll the majority of Americans male and female admit to cheating on thier spouse....Clinton does represent the morality of the masses. Why pretend otherwise?

2001-09-03 04:47:50 PM
I'm in the minority (Ambercat: "the majority of Americans male and female admit to cheating on thier spouse....") then, but you know what? I don't care if the President is farking the Swedish Bikini Team, as long as he's representing my interests. Clinton did, and the Bush clones did and have not. Simple as that.

2001-09-03 04:56:51 PM
BigPhilly:
(Good post)

Slight correction to what you stated:

too much "voodoo" (give the rich more money, and they'll pay their workers more

The theory is that if you reduce the tax rate for higher brackets ('give the rich more money'), the people in the higher tax brackets will reinvest the money. This reinvested money becomes opportunity for additional R&D or even new capital ventures. This is where additional jobs and improvements are made. The additional jobs mean additional income for the non-rich.
Not intended as a rant or a pro/con of anything. Just an explanation of what the supply side theory starts at.

ReDubyacans Thats funny.

Reagan was sent to the animatronics lab for an overhaul. HEE HEE!! I like that.

Clinton and Reagan are exactly the same. Actually, I think Clinton probably was more sincere in everything than Reagan was.

2001-09-03 05:21:09 PM
We need a stoner in office. Someone like Bob Marley would be good for America

2001-09-03 05:58:29 PM
Someone asked Ed Koch late last year how he thought Clinton would be remebered. He said, "He's going to be remembered as one of the greatest Presidents ever. And he's going to be remembered as something of a rascal."

That pretty much summed up what I was thinking. But what Koch didn't figure out is that he was a great President *because* he was a rascal.

2001-09-03 06:12:39 PM
Pheh. I thought Clinton made a pretty good president. I'd vote for him if he was able to run again. As far as Bush goes, it is my impression that he doesn't really know what he's doing, but he's not the complete idiot that he is protrayed to be. I figure that between Gore and Bush, Bush was the better candidate. Not because he was more competent, but because I got the impression from Gore that he was the slimier politician who was going to screw me over the moment my back was turned. So far, Bush seems to be doing everything Republicans typically are in favor of. Less of an emphasis on the environment and more of an emphasis on industry and the economy, more money spent on the military, and so on. As the the voting seemed to be pretty damn close, I'd say about half of the voting citizens of the United States are in favor of what Bush is doing. Sure, he's made a few enemies with foreign powers, but it's not like they were too friendly with us anyway. Pheh. I'd say Bush isn't doing so bad so far. But I'd still prefer Clinton.

2001-09-03 07:05:02 PM
Clinton has his eye on something again? You sure it's not his groin? What a pathetic piece of trash that man is.

2001-09-03 07:12:58 PM
If you don't like Clinton then cut your own throat. If you like Bush, cut your own throat. Please.

2001-09-03 07:48:32 PM
Do I blame Clinton for the "moral downfall" of America? No.
Do I blame Bill for this economic slump we're in? No.
Do I blame GW for either of those? No.

The moral downfall is something completely independent of the presidency. As for the economy, Alan Greenspan has infinitely more direct power over it than any president. Personally, I wasn't a Bill Clinton fan. So he got some in the office and so he lied about it... I don't think it's right, and I think that if someone wanted to go after him for perjuring himself, I wouldn't opposed to it. But just because I didn't like Bill and his actions/policies doesn't mean he was the scourge of this nation. As for GW, he hasn't done anything horrible yet either. No, I don't think that he's the sharpest tack in the box, though I'll give him credit for surrounding himself with people that DO have a clue (whether we agree with what they think is another matter, they are familiar with the job). But thus far at least, dubya hasn't really done anything bad.

2001-09-03 08:07:58 PM
I was reading an old book from the 80's and Dick Cheney was in there. In 1989, he had three heart attacks! WTF. That guy has to have some kind of record.

I hate to admit it but Bush isn't really the President, his father's buddies are. This comment was brought to you by Captian Obvious.

Capt. Obvious-
yea, and your Dad writes all your FARK entries....

don't be an idiot. leave the man alone...
he has done nothing significant yet.. GOOD or BAD.
atleast give him the chance to do the job, eh?
So he is not the best public speaker... few are.
