Yeah, wtf?

The Panaewa Rainforest Zoo & Gardens welcomed three bintlets, or binturong babies.

Oohh, I see.

No I don't.

The bintlets are the offspring of zoo residents Lucille and Ricky Ricardo.

I'm sure that's racist, somehow.

/Why not? Racism is everywhere else.

Binturong, also known as bearcats

I thought bearcats were a medium-light Battlemech deployed by Inner Sphere forces in the Clan Wars.

Well, I could be wrong, but I believe a bintlet is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era.

WTF is a Bintlet?

Bintlet is the diminutive of bunt which is a slang contraction for two words you can't post on Fark.

Bearcats?

I went to the zoo
Just the other week
Saw the kangaroo
Had a talk with the chimpanzee
He said, "Hey brother, if you want a thing that's hip. Do the bearcat."

Do the bearcat
mmm....
That's the name of this song
Do the bearcat
Take a little lesson and you can't go wrong
Do the bearcat
mmmmmm...
That's the way we like it
Do the bearcat

Ha!

Actually the Bearcat was my high school mascot. Which seems strange for a high school on the central coast of California.

I refuse to believe that it was born on American soil until I see a birth certificate. A "certificate of live birth" will NOT suffice. I am forwarding my case to the Supreme Court as we speak.

And as a weird aside, binturongs have an interesting smell - like hot, buttered popcorn. No joke. I used to work with a few in a temporary tropical animal exhibit at the aquarium where I volunteered. I know - arboreal mongoose at an aquarium? It's more likely than you think.

Challenge Rating 4? Bah. That's not so bad. An angry mob can usually whip up enough to take on a CR 4 monster and keep losses with acceptable parameters. Or hire a skilled ranger to take out the beastie. Adventurers aren't going to worry about CR 4 for very long.

It does just enough damage that peasants would be in serious danger, but any ex-marine should have enough hp to take this on.

When I worked at my last zoo we had Binturong and bintlets. They're stupidly adorable. Ours smelled like unbuttered slightly burnt popcorn.
