I have no idea how much of it is true, but it was an interesting read.

Much of the information is correct, but the author`s conclusions are debatable, to say the least. When it comes to the Czech Rep, he paints a ridiculous picture that bears no resemblance to actualities here on the street, in the business community, nor in his (improperly spelled) "pivnice."

I thought masters people do a thesis while Ph.D candidates a dissertations.

But then I read this^ and that's just how they designate it in America.

Marxists in denial that eliminating marxism could possible be useful in any way, shape, or form.

Film at eleven.

Bitter Marxist says elimination of Communism allows Nazis to thrive. Then he claims that killing rats of unusual size promotes the rise of evil 6 fingered men.

FTFA: Twenty years after the fall of the Berlin wall, we witness the rise of nationalism, xenophobia, and right wing extremism in the "new" Europe; those ghosts that have haunted the region historically are back again. But why now?

That's his problem: those ghosts never went away; they were just suppressed by brutal Stalinist regimes (Yugoslavia was the worst example of this).

How quickly we forget that the Nazis and Commies did not disagree enough to not try to wipe out the world together. Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini all played nice together at first. They also had no problem with allying with an emperor. At the end of the day, authoritarian is authoritarian does. Fascism and Communism both result in a small group of people having complete control over everyone else. The rest is semantics.

Communism is no more an authoritarian system than Capitalism. Witness Pinochet's Chile, Franco's Spain for example. Or Today's China.

Who does greenlight this crap? Marxism died 20 years ago. The only Marxists now are in Ivory towers, aka Universities.

Marxism isn't dead. First off the Soviet system was a command based economy not a communist system. Soviet System utilized certain socialist systems but was a centralized authoritarian system. Leninism and Lenin himself was much more moderate then his successor Stalin. In fact Stalin was in favor of a limited capital system. That aside the soviet system was miserable finical system (filled with a lot of inequities)though it did succeed in turning around a nation for the most that was literally in the middle ages into the number 2 superpower in the world albeit for a short time. We could learn a lot from their example, however, not be so dismissive of the philosopher Karl Marx, when our finical system is nearing the breaking point.

Ah, how telling. One of the more intellectual pieces to appear in Fark (regardless of how you feel about the conclusions) and barely a dozen Farkers respond. Thinking is a bit too challenging, what with having the Internets to troll and bicker on these days . . .
