The problem is they stole the handle, and the train won't stop going. There's no way to slow it down.

Odd phrasing.

You found it missing by noticing that it was not there. You found it missing.

That's just wrongly correct.

Yet another thing to add to my list of things to do before I die. This could save lives, ya know. I have a list of people to kill before I die, but I plan on getting around to that Bucket List first. The longer the Bucket List is, the longer some people may live.

The owners were really steamed, weren't they? If they catch the guy, they'll run him out of town on a rail. It's a good thing they found the engine near.

Good headline, subby, except that is exactly what the article described them doing, so points off for derivative origin.

Well - actually locomotive cabs DO have pad locks for at least one of the doors - the other door will latch shut from the inside.

The pad lock is the same kind used to secure rail switches (they are huge - with a half inch or so hasp).

The last train crew failed to lock it or part of the locking set up was missing / broken.

I have no idea of what you're referring to, but since reading TFA, I did find out - through reliable sources - that it's a runaway train never going back because it's going the wrong way on a one way track. It seems like it should be getting somewhere, but somehow, it's neither here nor there.

If trains get 423 miles to a gallon of gas, then why aren't we driving trains?

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
