Nice work subby...

FTA:

Court employees and lawyers say the rodents scuttle down corridors, munch legal papers and scratch behind the walls.

I have to admit, that's the first time in a long time I've seen the word "munch" used that didn't involve lesbians.

Victor mouse traps. Use beef jerkey for bait, wire it to the trigger with some copper wire.

Same goes for rats, just use the bigger traps.

These Ratzapper things are awesome.
They take 4AA batteries. You put some food at the closed end. There's 2 metal plates on the floor.

It's always putting out a small test charge. When something conducts, it switches on the big transformer and... electrocutes it.

Dump, repeat.

Downside: it will make your TV fuzz over while the rat's being electrocuted.

Technology is grand.

Court employees and lawyers say the rodents scuttle down corridors, munch legal papers and scratch behind the walls.

Finally, legal papers put to appropriate use.

They'd call in the pied piper but they don't know which group of rodents would go drown themselves in the lake; the mice or the lawyers. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll show up anyway.

2009-02-20 05:10:05 PM
FTFA: The courthouse facilities manager says he's put out a few dozen traps to capture the rodents. He says he's not sure there has been an uptick in mice lately but says they're getting more press than they deserve.

Why is it that I picture this guy as being in his 50's, having short gray/white hair, glasses, and a beer belly that prevents him from stooping or crouching down to do any real work? All this fuss about the mice has the potential to rock the boat, and he really doesn't want that boat rocked... at least, until he retires.

varmitydog: They'd call in the pied piper but they don't know which group of rodents would go drown themselves in the lake; the mice or the lawyers.
