It is disappointing that Her Majesty has allowed the creation of a website which ... has overlooked the basics of good Search Engine Optimisation.

Heh, cuz I'm sure that a hoity-toity 90 year old woman personally reviews all the technology running through her office. She also wired the phone system, purchases toner, and it's her week to change the water bottle.

Unless there are other Queens of England, this site doesn't need seo at all. Queening is not a competitive industry, it's not like there are tons of people using Google to find a new queen to pay taxes to. There's only one place people can get their QE, she's got the market locked down. That's a far better strategy than seo.

Actually, several seconds of a black page is unacceptable.
I wouldn't dare to show a client a response time this poor.

Protip: if you need youtube channels and all that jazz, load those contents via ajax after the rest of the page is there

But then, as WarpZone pointed out, it's not like users can turn to the other competitors in the queening sector.
