(Foobies)   If you've just killed your passenger in a drunk-driving accident, it might seem like a good idea to drag him to the driver's side and tell the cops he was driving. But not if somebody saw the whole thing   (thelocal.de) divider line 42

It still counts as an accident. Somebody waving a gun around can still "accidentally" shoot you, even though they were criminally negligent.

And that's why it's better to throw your dead friend out onto the hood and and smash a hole in the windshield.

Ok...I see the point, actually makes sense too. It's just that I've been to too many "accidents" and get a bit jaded.

I think the proper term is "collision."

That's a cold-hearted thing to do, and I was shocked. But then I realized he was German. I should have anticipated that from the headline.

When I think of how many times I got in the car with a drunk when I was stationed in Germany I just shudder and thank who was ever watching out for me. Didnt learn a lesson after my buddy crashed through the front gate after a night of vodka and schwepps bitter lemon.

FTFA: "negligent homicide"

Uh I think there are about a thousand other charges that need to along with that like DUI and obstruction of justice or something. Hopefully the article was just being expedient in naming just the one charge.

Speaking of goofy images on that page...

WTF is with this:

Looks like the high court from a bad sci-fi flick. Is this a scene from the new Star Trek movie or something?

I witnessed the same thing happen. the driver had crawled into the back seat. the drivers door would not open and there was a dying man on the passenger side who kept asking me to help getting him out. Got called to court and she was still trying to say the real driver(of her car) had ran away. Her lawyer was trying to disqualify me from testifying because i was walking home with a 12 pack of beer and couldn't be trusted even though I was one block from the scene.
