vento: stonicus: Last play a fumble? Maybe or maybe not. What pisses me off is that it wasn't reviewed from the booth. The Super Bowl is on the line. It was close enough. Review the farking play!!!!

Roughing the holder, fine.
Safety, fine.
Roughing the passer?? That was weak. I saw players hit the QB several times the same way all night... the guy only took one step. That was weak bullshiat.

The last Arizona play *was* reviewed. The NBC announcers said it when they came back from the commercial break. As for the ref not saying anything, they were at commercial break - I'm sure they said something, but we didn't see/hear it.

The roughing call was called because the guy took a few steps after the ball was thrown, and then fore-armed Ben in the back. That's exactly why there is roughing the passer. My contention to everyone saying it wasn't roughing is that if it were reversed, and it were Warner that got hit, you would absolutely be screaming like crazy that it wasn't called (and that the Steelers paid off the refs, etc.).

Watch it again... he took 1 step... they're supposed to be given 2... even all the analysts say that was a BS call... game changing? prolly not... but still... the quality of the officiating shouldn't even be in question, especially at this level.

Mentat: The Grasshopper: That's how i feel about the whole game. Bad sportsmanship on that team. and i am sick of seeing the same teams in the playoffs/Superbowl year after year.

You mean like Arizona?

Win.

The NFL wanted the Steelers to win. Don't believe me? Check out all of those calls, and Harrison should have gotten tossed out of the game - they held Warner when Harrison was running the ball back.fark the steelers

seabass242: nicoffeine: Great, now there's Cardinal Crybabies to go with my Seahawks Crybabies for the next however many years.

Big difference. The Seahawks had a legit gripe with officiating. The officiating was solid last night.

The roughing the passer call was completley Bogus.

/But be glad Arizona, you didnt have two of your TD's called back by tick-tack penalties.

What time does the game start?

I was rooting for a good game. I was not disappointed.

/was happy with the food, too

HamBurghlar: vento: Well put. Arizona was hands down the best 9-7 team in the history of the NFL. That being said, the Steelers did what they had to do on both sides of the ball, especially on that last offensive drive, to win the game. Glad things ended how they did, it was eerily calm after that last Fitz TD, almost like you knew they'd score.

/GOOOO STEELERS!! WAY TO GET TO THE 6 PACK!
//Seahawks fans are still biatches. WAAHH!!! Maybe one day you'll get over it. Frankly, we'll be too busy at our SECOND Super Bowl parade to care.

Steelers fans complained louder than the Seahawk fans after they BEAT the Colts.

We all know that it would have much worse if the tables were turned in superbowl 40.

Take your ring and quit bringing it up already.

Can I have some of your sour grapes?

/The 2006 one is a bit baffling to me. The margin of victory was 11 points.

2 td's called back. Not to mention on Pittsburg TD set up on yet another bad call.

I love listening to the 2005 Seafag and 2008 Cry-Birdie butt-hurt.

Seahawks: You gave up the longest run in SB history.
The ball was on the white line on the Roethlisberger sneak for a TD. www.steelersfever.com
Seahawk WR Jackson pushed off on Chris Hope. Plain as day on the video.
Locklear was holding Haggans. "But it was ignored during the regular season!" Doesn't matter. It's against the rules and they saw it on that play.
Not to mention you lost 21-10. You and your walrus of an ex-coach need to quit your griping and get over it.

The Cardinals, on the other hand, at least have one beef:
That wasn't a late hit by Dansby on Roethlisberger. That was a horrible call.
However, Gandy and the right tackle were holding all game long. Not just little grabs, mind you. They were grabbing Woodley and Harrison by the neck.
That was roughing the kicker. It's not even close.
That was grabbing the facemask. You can see it on the replay.
There was a late hit out of bounds by the Arizona safety.

Even after all of that, all Arizona had to do was stop the sputtering Steelers offense once. They couldn't.

27-23 Steelers.

Sorry you Cry-Birdie fans are such bitter losers.

Apparently you didnt watch the game.
Ben put the ball over the white line in your picture about 2 seconds after he was down, you idiot.

Steelers fans whined so hard after the Colts win, that there is no doubt how badly they would have whined if they got ripped of like Seattle did.

/ Watch the Darrell Jackson "push off" and see who put their arms up first, Jackson was simply doing the same as the defender. It was a terrible call and reporters all over the nation had the same consensus.
//Playing patty-cake with forearms should never be called pass interference especially when the defender instigated the contact.
//Your 5th superbowl has an asterisk and everyone outside of Pitt knows it, and even some Steelers fans said we got jobbed, but they would take the win.

And the steelers got outgained, lost the turnover battle, Big Ben got shut down.

/Plus look at the completion to the 1 yard line on 3rd and 37, you have several offensive linemen well downfield, thinking that Ben was running.

I have to laugh. Steeler haters, we could pity you if you weren't so myopic and pathetic. Sorry what?...calls?...refs?...the party is too loud and you're so, so small from on top here.
