This morning the news channels showed some footage from the scene.
The word ramp is absolutely exaggerated as far as the space in front of the church is concerned. There is nothing that looks as if it could catapult a car seven meters upwards.

Ya, I just read that. Sounds like there was an embankment of about 1 meter. If you look at the pictures you can see how far it flew. That's just insane.

When I first heard them talking about a car being catapulted into a roof, I had a vague idea what the landscape would have to look like to make this possible.
And it looks nothing like it! It's almost flat.

I think this should be the new dictionary picture for "freak accident".
